Food was delicious & some of the best calamari I ever had! The carbonara was flavorful & tortellini was great. Our server was amazing & sweet. Beautiful restaurant, very cozy & intimate vibes.
Only problem was the hostess. We made it to our reservation for two people on time but when we got there, she was helping two other girls in front of us. We heard the hostess say to them'you are so lucky we have an open table for you which doesn't usually happen' & she gave them a table. Then when it was our turn, she said there's no available tables even though we made a reservation for the exact time...She said it'll be a 20 minute wait & she'll text us when our table is ready. So basically, she gave our table to those 2 girls with no reservation in front of us. 30 Minutes pass & no text, so we go back to the host & ask what's up. She apologizes & gets us seated & we notice there's multiple open tables. So she also forgot to text us. It was the young blonde girl...
Everything about this place is simply the best.
The food is just spectacular, great vibe & amazing staff!
Put this place on your list.
We had great tequila drink, amazing beef carpaccio, tortellini & special mushroom & lamb ravioli!
My husband, daughter, & I ate here for my daughter's birthday dinner. Our server Melissa, was astounding. She made my daughter a special mocktail & surprised her with a sinfully divine dessert. The meal was some of the best I've ever had. My husband enjoyed the tortellini while I had the bucatini vongole. The intimate atmosphere completed the experience.
Fantastic spot with well regarded house made pasta. As others have noted, the Tortellini is indeed delicious. The Bucatini Vongole was ok but needed more sauce & the broth didn't stick in the noodles well. The tiramisu was very lite, but would have been better if it had more of the coffee flavour & really needed more mascarpone as it barely had any. The dishes were perfect portions as well & we left feeling satisfied but not overly full. We would return to this place.
I had the peach cocktail & the tortellini alla ricotta. While the food & drinks were good, I found the portion sizes to be quite small for the price point.
The staff were great & the atmosphere inside was nice.
Really incredible food & dessert. I'm a New Yorker who visits an Italian restaurant every other week because that's New York, but this was exceptional. Salad was a highlight. Tortellini with sausage sauce was incredible. Limoncello strawberry panna cotta on a hot day was such a fresh treat to close out the meal. We sat at the bar & our server was so kind & attentive too. Highly recommend.
Very crowded & packed, we kept bumping into other people & tables no matter where we sat. we were a big group but even walking in between for staff was very close.
The food took a while, a moderate wait time.
The aesthetic of the place is truly beautiful to look at, & dim lighting , though not great for taking food pictures.
I got the tortellini, totally recommend! The waiter was very kind & generous with the cheese.
The pesto was a little too sour & salty.
The burrata was lovely, as well as the carbonara.
My wife & I had the pleasure of dining at Dinette Marcella on F1 weekend. The atmosphere in Old Montreal on F1 weekend is unbeatable, especially when the Montreal Canadians are deep into the playoffs. The vibe of the restaurant Is very good. It is not big, but the staff move with ease around each other. After chatting with a few of them, I came to learn that most of them have worked there since it opened 4 years ago! The fact the staff stayed together says a lot about quality ownership in my opinion as a small business owner. Megane was our server & she was fantastic! Very engaging, funny, helpful, informative, a total super star! I had the lobster Macaroni which was the best I've ever had. My wife had the tortellini & enjoyed it very much. The lightning & open air windows were perfect & thankfully, so was the weather. I gave it 4 stars for food because I did not enjoy the bruschetta or the Marcella Martini. The Martini was a but to sour for my liking. I'm a total Bruschetta snob. It is very hard to impress me with this appetizer. It had a nice taste, I just thought it was too busy especially considering the bread was cut so thin it could not support the toppings. Other wise, I am already looking forward to booking our reservations for next year's race & we hope to revisit this wonderful restaurant again for many years to come!!
This restaurant delivered an exceptional dining experience from start to finish. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared & full of authentic flavor. The polpette were perfectly seasoned & tender, while the arancino had a crisp exterior with a rich, savory filling. The insalate Cesare was fresh & well-balanced, & the focaccia was warm, airy, & absolutely delicious.
The tortellini alla ricotta stood out as a highlight-delicate pasta filled with creamy ricotta & served in a beautifully crafted sauce. To finish, the tiramisu was the perfect ending: light, indulgent, & not overly sweet. The service was attentive & welcoming, adding to the overall experience.
This is truly a must-visit spot for anyone who appreciates authentic Italian cuisine done right.
A huge shout out to Mike, Asia & the whole staff & cooks.
Trendy place with youthful vibe. Very busy plus waiting line of folks without reservations. Creative menu with some classics as well. Tuna crudo app was tasty with fried capers, pistachios & candied citrus. Tortellini ricotta & sausage sauce had potential but pasta was overcooked. Spaghetti with polpetto was solid. Quite noisy so conversations were challenging.
