This was our first visit to Marcella & we had the best experience. Malo was our server & he was outstanding. The manager on duty was wonderful & took care of our reservation for 12/26. The food was incredible & the service was outstanding. The attention to detail was superior.
We were looking for something special for a night out in the town & we did. Choosing D. Marcella was serendipitous. Everything we had a special touch to it & not typical. The dishes we had were simply delicious. Being of Italian origin I can attest that this gem will please. The Negroni infused with espresso was incredible. Enjoy!
Beautiful vibe with extremely comfy chairs. We unfortunately had poor service; we waited a good 20min (if not more) after being seated before being noticed & giving our order in. Our drink order was forgotten (we had to order again), the waitress told us she would bring extra plates for us to share our dishes & those never came. In the end, the waitress felt bad & offered us free focaccia for apologies, which was very thoughtful of her. The busboy however was very attentive & our water glasses & needs (extra parmesan or pepper) were met very fast. The food has wonderful presentation, but lacked greatly in taste. Both pasta dishes were bland in my opinion & the focaccia was a bit dry (maybe a stale batch?). The tomato sauce for the meatballs were definitely the highlight, very salty & delicious sauce, perfect for dipping.
Yum - arancini excellent with a spicy red sauce- spaghetti bolognese meaty & wonderful. Minestrone a bit on the'light' side & would benefit from a little salt. Mini cannoli perfect with mini chocolate chips . Incredible service.
We went to Marcella on a celebratory trip. Our waiter Michael was very kind & provided us with great service as well as many recommendations for other bars in the area. Burratta & cocktails were amazing. Would recommend & definitely come back when in the area again!
LA NOURRITURE EST BONNE & LA MANIÈRE DONT LES PLATS SONT CUISINÉS EST PROCHE DE LA RÉALITÉ ITALIENNE, MAIS 2 DES 3 PLATS QUE NOUS AVONS COMMANDÉS N'ÉTAIENT PAS SUFFISAMMENT CHAUDS, C'EST DOMMAGEABLE NOTAMMENT POUR LES AUBERGINES À LA PARMESANE. IL N'Y PAS DE MENU DES ALCOOLS, ALORS QUE PAR EXEMPLE AU MOINS 6 OU 7 DIFFERENTS GIN SONT DISPONIBLES.
ENFIN IL MANQUE PROBABLEMENT UN ANIMATEUR/MANAGER POUR METTRE TOUT CELA EN MUSIQUE DE MANIÈRE COORDONNÉE POUR OFFRIR UNE RÉELLE EXPERIENCE. NOUS AVONS EU SIMPLEMENT UN BON SOUPER.
The portion of our food was very small, especially for the price. We paid $16 for half a zucchini. Dinner portions were also small. The service was good & food tasted good. We really did not enjoy the seating. There were way too many tables for the amount of space. People were bumping into our table or chair trying to get to their table.
