Visited for a birthday brunch on a Sunday. It was a very busy morning with a big crowd at the front, & we waited about 30 minutes to be seated.
?The birthday person really enjoyed the chicken & waffles, which was the highlight! However, my own meal (the Eggs Benedict) arrived a bit cold. It seemed like the kitchen was just spread very thin because of the Sunday rush, as it looked like several tables around us were also waiting quite a while for their orders.
?The staff was friendly & the place has a nice vibe, but the food temperature & the long wait for a table made it just an'okay' experience this time. Great potential, but hopefully more consistent during the next rush.
I got the chicken & waffles plate. Tbh, I wouldn't have been able to tell apart the food from a piece of cardboard. The chicken was bland, emaciated & cooked to high hell. I think it comes frozen & prefried & refried to order. The waffles were boring. The pickled jalapenos make no sense being on the plate. The poached egg was hard when asked for medium.
That being said, the service was really good & the restaurant is well designed. I really liked the esthetics of the place. Bathroom is super clean. Easy to reserve tables for a large group.
Anyways, first & last time for me. Way better breakfast places in Montreal for better prices.
The menu revolves around poached eggs, which might be great if you love them. I don't. I swapped for scrambled eggs but they were bland & dry. The waffle was good. The homemade tots were delicious.
The fried chicken was just okay. A bit dry & not the typical crispy fried chicken you expect, especially when it's paired with waffles. Also, how are chicken & waffles not automatically served with maple syrup? In Quebec? 🤯
That feels like a crime.
Our waitress was very nice but seemed new. We had to ask a few times for condiments & coffee refills. The place is also quite loud, so conversation wasn't the easiest.
Not a bad brunch, just not one I'd rush back for.
I ordered for takeout & it was delivered quickly & efficiently, the atmosphere was lovely as well. The food was amazing, I didn't think it would be heavy (we ordered the chicken waffles & frit-tôt a funghi). Will surely eat the food again, especially going to eat-in
Bright new brunch spot in the west island! I like the build your own breakfast concept it adds a more exciting component to your brunch! But it you're not in the mood for that, they have a wonderful assortment of breakfast & sandwich options to choose from. We got the ancho pork & chicken & waffle bennys, & they were absolutely to die for! The ancho pork benny in particular was the fan favourite amongst my partner & I. The potato options were really nice too as they have a house potato with lemon & truffle (delicious), & classic tater tots which were very nicely seasoned. If chicken & pork aren't to your tastes they do have nice veggie options as well. We also got there at around 12 while it was VERY busy, & were seated withing 15 minutes so that was very much appreciated. I was impressed at how quickly we recieved our food given how busy it was! The only complaint that I have is that their in house spicy ketchup has too much cinnamon, but that is me just being very nitpick-y. Overall a must-try for anyone wanting brunch in the west island! 5/5
