Tout était magnifique, bravo au équipe de cuisine & au service, vous étiez au top, un restaurant digne des grands restaurants 2 étoiles dans le guide MichelinView more
A Syrian fine dining in town. It is a big restaurant in Montreal. Many tables & quite crowded. We have to book in advance to dine here. The decoration is impressive. Many nice chandeliers & lamps hanging from the ceiling. Classic old brick wall. Chairs are elegant & comfortable. There is a large open kitchen with many staff. Service is great. All staff are active & helpful. They speak both French & English very well. Food is incredibly good. We choose the tasting menu. They serve us many dishes. We like all of them. My mocktail is awesome with a touch of coriander. This is a restaurant that you must try. It opens our experience of Syrian food & it is fascinating.View more
Excellent food experience with the tasting menu. Complementary favors from meats to fish to seafood. Best so far in Montreal, & we are foodies formally from the San Francisco Bay Area. So expectations are high.View more
First time here & already cannot wait to be back. Both food & service were outstanding. Our dishes were bursting with flavour. As for our waiter George, truly attentive & helpful with recommendations. The whole staff gave exceptional service. I highly recommend Damas, you will not be disappointed.View more
I never leave reviews, but I absolutely had to for this place! The food & service were the best I've had in a long time. Our waiter George was amazing, & the entire staff was fantastic!View more
For the price point, this experience was extremely disappointing. The food was good, not great. The server was friendly but the overall service was not at the quality expected for the price point. Food took too long to come so by the second course we were too full & had to cancel our remaining order. The end of the evening was the most disappointing as their dessert menu was absolutely not up to par, no pastries or cakes, just ice cream ($20 ice cream!!!) or baclava. Absolutely shocking to be paying that much for what you get. I would never recommend this restaurant. You will eat much better food at a hole in the wall falafel place.View more

Their Shish-taouk & lamb shank were delicious! Also tried falafel, hummus & halloumi which were pretty good! I will be coming back!View more
Came here on visit from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. The entire service staff was amazing, with a very intentional flow, & an attention to the guest experience that made them really stand out. The tasting menu is a must, & definitely get the wine paring with it. Patrick, our waiter, was there every time we wanted him to be, with an unforgettable smile & charm. John, the sommelier, is the best one we've experienced. Highly knowledgeable about all things wine & pairing but also very personable. He brought a magic to the whole experience that left us simultaneously more knowledgeable about wine, but also feeling more confident in our own ability to judge & experience. This will be a regular stop whenever we come to Montreal. Worth every $$$$View more
Im not sure what's the hype around this place, the food is mediocre at best: salad & baba Ganoush were the only ok items on the menu & I can't even call them good. Anything lamb was smelly (except for the rack of lambs), lamb requires specific preparation to get rid of the smell & it's not even a hard process, you can find 1000s of videos on YouTube on how to nail it. Fish tastes like cardboard + everything made with meat is tasteless & it seems like the sides are doing the heavy lifting to add some taste to the food. The tasting menu is the biggest scam ever at $160 per person. Baklava is alright but you can find better baklava at Jean Talon market. Will I ever go back to this place? No. Will I recommend it to friends? Absolutely not.View more
Had the chefs menu - one of the best meals I've ever had. Everything was delicious & beautifully presented. Great service & atmosphere. Recommend this place!View more
We went out of our comfort zone this year & tried something new & oh my, this will place will be on our "regular" list going forward. It was THAT good. . Here is what we ate 1- GRILLED OCTOPUS Grilled octopus (T2), Aleppo pepper lemon sauce, green fava bean puree, cherry tomato & caper salsa 2- SOUR CHERRY KEBAB Charcoal grilled lamb kebab, Aleppo sour cherry sauce, seven spices, pine nuts, grilled Saj bread with butter 3- RACK OF LAMB (18 OZ) Alberta rack of lamb, seven spices, green hummus, Biwaz pita & tahini sauce 4- MIXED HOMEMADE BAKLAVA FOR 2 . . Everything was good. Anything cooked in an open grill is good. Smokey goodness. I'm still thinking of the sour cherry kebabs. That sauce, I wanna dip anything in that sauce. . If there's one place to go, it's gonna be @damasrestaurant - so make sure to check them out on your next visit to Montreal. You can make reservations via @opentableView more
When we travel, I spend time researching restaurants. We were thrilled to find that Damas is excellent. If we lived in Montreal we would eat here weekly. It is worth it. Our sever suggested a Syrian Bordeaux style blend & it was amazing. Entree portions are large, so watch it with the excellent first course choices like delicious octopus & grilled halloumi. I had lamb shoulder with tomato & okra & it was amazing. My wife enjoyed the duck. Service was also great. Damas is a do not miss restaurant experience.View more
Five star dining experience with amazing service & an incredible atmosphereView more
View more
We had dinner for two here & were apprehensive about price when looking at their online menu. Every dish we had was beautifully presented & was made with fresh & savory ingredients. Service was very attentive & unrushed. Seating was comfortable & environment very inviting. Yes this meal with be more expensive than at the average middle eastern restaurant in Montreal, but this is most certainly not your average middle eastern restaurant by any means.View more
