The food was amazing, service was incredible & the decor inside is so cute! My friend & I got the tasting menus & was NOT expecting the amount of food we got. There's a lot of items on the menu so we thought it would be small portions but we were stuffed halfway through, not complaining though! Food was great with lots of various flavours & spices. Would come again!View more

We made reservation & after we sat down, nobody came to ask us what we wanted to drink for HALF HOUR, & even didn't give us a glass of water. I asked a waiter why we don't have water, he told us to wait for our waitress, then we just sat there HALF HOUR. Food was ok but no second time.View more

Nous avons adoré nôtre expérience au Damas ! Le menu dégustation est incroyable & vaut le détour. Par contre c'est énorme, vaut mieux avoir le ventre vide avant votre visite ! The food is usually quite good, the service is great but they changed some classics on the menu they shouldn't have. Was better before! It's a bit loud & overcrowded. A little pricey, too.View more

The food was good no complaints there, however, the service was not up to par. We asked for the Mezze & main courses to be served all at the same time, the server didn't say that would be a problem, we got the mezze first despite asking otherwise but not even 10 minutes later the server insisted to pack the rest of it to go as there won't be enough space for the mezze & main courses, which we agreed to cause we didn't have a choice & the waiter did not warn us about this beforehand. After we got home, the fattouch had spilled out of the box & ruined my car seat because the box wasn't sealed properly. Overall, we didn't have the most pleasant experience in such a high-end restaurant. PS: the "Pita" was more of a Tortilla.View more

Dès notre arrivée, nous avons été chaleureusement accueillis par le personnel attentionné & professionnel. Cependant, ce qui a vraiment fait briller notre soirée, c'est le service merveilleux de Mercedez. Mercedez a dépassé toutes nos attentes en matière de service. Son attention aux détails, sa gentillesse & sa connaissance approfondie de la gastronomie & de la carte des vins ont vraiment ajouté une touche spéciale à notre repas. Elle était toujours là pour répondre à nos questions, recommander des plats délicieux & s'assurer que notre expérience était absolument parfaite. En ce qui concerne la cuisine, chaque plat que nous avons commandé était délicieux & authentique. Les saveurs syriennes étaient parfaitement équilibrées & chaque bouchée était une explosion de goût. Dans l'ensemble, notre visite au Damas a été mémorable grâce à l'excellent service de Mercedez & à la délicieuse cuisine. This is definitely one of the best restaurants I've been to in Montreal. The service, atmosphere, setting & the FOOD are just PERFECT. The portions are pretty generous so maybe consider sharing especially if you want to have starters & leave room for dessert. My highlight was the baklava stuffed with pistachio ice cream! We had the standard tasting menu. The best imo are the seafood dishes -seabass & fish cake. They had nice texture & good natural flavors. If I had to go back, I would solely order the seafood. The rest of the menu, while loaded with variety, wasn't very memorable. For example, the yogurt marinated chicken lacked punch & the lamb, while good, can be found at tons of restaurants. I also don't find the sauces complement the main elements. That being said, it was still fun to try out the sheer variety of quality offerings. I just won't be considering the tasting menu ever again.View more
