A very enjoyable evening! My husband & I went with two other friends & we all got the tasting menu. Highly recommend! A great way to get a taste of everything & it was all delicious.
Excellent service de l'entrée jusqu'à la sortie,chaises confortable ,le décors est très beau ,bel ambiance.Nous avons pris un petit menu dégustation plus deux assiettes repas,tout était très goûteux .Pour accompagner le tout ont avaient deux cocktails sans alcool très rafraîchissants! Je recommande fortement

Exceptional dinner with the tasting menu + wine pairing. All the dishes were incredible & the wines too. Pricing might be on the limit. We paid 1200$ for 3, which can make it hard to recommend on a regular basis.
But if you want to be blown away by incredible savours, no other restaurant in Montreal come close to this one.
J'y suis allé sur recommandation & à l'occasion de l'anniversaire de ma conjointe. Nous avons choisi le menu dégustation régulier & pescaterian avec l'accord des vins. L'expérience fut tout simplement sublime. Je vais y retourner sans faute.
Elegantly catered from the door sill to until we exited once again. Exquisite food & wine but following an unscheduled event will demonstrate how Damas employees care for their customers beyond the great ambiance & the menu. After returning home I had a call from Damas Staff telling me they found my wife's wallet (which was not the case), the staff diligently looked at wallet owners lady's last name & went through their guest list to find someone with the identical last name. Smart, delicate I highly recommend !
First time here & already cannot wait to be back. Both food & service were outstanding. Our dishes were bursting with flavour. As for our waiter George, truly attentive & helpful with recommendations. The whole staff gave exceptional service. I highly recommend Damas, you will not be disappointed.

For the price point, this experience was extremely disappointing. The food was good, not great. The server was friendly but the overall service was not at the quality expected for the price point. Food took too long to come so by the second course we were too full & had to cancel our remaining order. The end of the evening was the most disappointing as their dessert menu was absolutely not up to par, no pastries or cakes, just ice cream ($20 ice cream!!!) or baclava. Absolutely shocking to be paying that much for what you get. I would never recommend this restaurant. You will eat much better food at a hole in the wall falafel place.
Im not sure what's the hype around this place, the food is mediocre at best: salad & baba Ganoush were the only ok items on the menu & I can't even call them good. Anything lamb was smelly (except for the rack of lambs), lamb requires specific preparation to get rid of the smell & it's not even a hard process, you can find 1000s of videos on YouTube on how to nail it. Fish tastes like cardboard + everything made with meat is tasteless & it seems like the sides are doing the heavy lifting to add some taste to the food. The tasting menu is the biggest scam ever at $160 per person. Baklava is alright but you can find better baklava at Jean Talon market. Will I ever go back to this place? No. Will I recommend it to friends? Absolutely not.
Had the chefs menu - one of the best meals I've ever had. Everything was delicious & beautifully presented. Great service & atmosphere. Recommend this place!

Here's a refined & polished version: --- We came here to celebrate our 4-year anniversary after it was highly recommended by some friends who visit regularly. & it did not disappoint! We booked online a couple of weeks in advance without any issues. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted by several staff members & promptly shown to our table. The décor was exquisite, just like in the photos, creating a charming ambiance that was sophisticated yet unpretentious. The seating was comfortable, & we had the choice of still or sparkling water as we browsed the cocktail menu. I tried the Aleppo gin sour-a vibrant green cocktail with strong coriander notes (a word of warning if you're not a coriander fan!). It was fantastic; I ended up having two. My girlfriend enjoyed two different gin-based cocktails & loved each one. Being our first time, we decided to try the tasting menu, & it was outstanding. While I'm not deeply familiar with Syrian or even Lebanese cuisine, I was blown away by each of the 12 dishes, each offering unique textures, an abundance of nuts, pomegranate seeds, & complex spice blends. Our server was exceptional (blond woman, didn't get her name, MERCI BEAUCOUP !) - attentive & personable, asking if we had any food preferences or intolerances. My girlfriend isn't a fan of raw meat, like tartare (which I personally love), & our server graciously provided her with an alternative dish. The rest of the staff was equally attentive, efficiently clearing plates & replacing our utensils throughout the evening. In short, an unforgettable experience. We'll definitely be back! It is on the pricier side, but for a unique, top-tier dining experience in the city, it's worth every penny. Bravo to the entire team! Gros merci encore.
One of the best meals I've had in a LOOOONNNGGG time! Everything was cooked to perfection with strong savory flavors & a nice smokey finish. The Filet Mignon Kebab was particularly tender & flavorful (which is difficult to acheive with a Tenderloin. It has to be medium rare!). We didnt try any desserts but that pleasure will have to wait till next time. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT
Exceptional dining experience. We both had the tasting menu, with wine pairing. Atmosphere was excellent, the wait staff were exceptional, did a great job making sure everything was perfect, wine selection was outstanding. I recently had the pleasure of dining at Damas Restaurant with my family, & I can confidently say it exceeded my expectations. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was so unique, elegant yet welcoming, setting the perfect tone for our evening. One of the standout features of this restaurant is the generous portion sizes. Each dish was beautifully presented & packed with flavor, making it a delightful experience for the palate. I ordered the rack of lamb, & I was pleasantly surprised by how hearty the serving was-definitely enough to share (though I didn't want to!). The service was impeccable, with attentive staff who were knowledgeable about the menu & eager to make recommendations. They truly elevated our dining experience without being intrusive. Overall, Damas is a fantastic choice for anyone looking to indulge in high-quality cuisine without leaving hungry. It's perfect for families, groups, & date nights, showcasing its versatility & welcoming atmosphere. I can't recommend it enough & can't wait to return for another memorable meal!

I'm originally from Syria, but I live in the States. I wish we had a Damas in Southern California. I highly recommend this restaurant. The food was delicious & gorgeously presented. The staff was so nice & welcoming. Our server, Morgan was so lovely. I'm definitely coming back next time I'm in Montréal.
Damas offers incredible Syrian cuisine with flavors that truly stand out. The grilled meats were perfectly seasoned, & the mezze were fresh & delicious. The atmosphere was cozy & inviting, & the service was top-notch. I can't recommend it enough, definitely one of the best dining experiences in Montreal!

A friend & I splurged on the tasting menu - still dreaming about the lamb & the fattoush among other things. Every item we tried was absolutely delicious. Highly highly recommend for a special occasion or to turn a normal day special. Great service too! Highly recommend, cannot rave enough about the quality of the ingredients & just the whole culinary experience.
One of the best restaurants in the city. Excellent food & service. Very pricey but you get what you paid for. I've tried the tasting menu several years ago & it was very good & way cheaper than it is now. I've also tried a la carte. Lamb is excellent. Everything is executed well. Definitely a special meal for a special occasion unless you have the wallet to eat here more than once a year. Highly recommend.
