Daldongnae - A Taste of Korea in Downtown Montreal Daldongnae offers an authentic Korean barbecue experience that truly impressed me. Unlike all-you-can-eat spots, here you pay by the meat, but the variety & unlimited side dishes more than make up for it. From spicy cucumbers to beans, & a delightful cold potato puree mixed with apple, the side dishes were as enjoyable as the main course. There's also unlimited salad & some kind of noodles, making for a wide array of options to complement the barbecue. What really sets Daldongnae apart is that you grill the meat yourself, which adds to the immersive, traditional Korean dining experience. Having been to Korea two years ago, I was instantly transported back-the vibe is spot on. For the hour we spent there, it truly felt like being in Korea, which made the meal all the more special. Overall, Daldongnae stands out as one of the best Korean dining experiences I've had in Montreal. The only minor drawback was the bathroom, which could use a bit more attention. It wasn't problematic, but it didn't stand out the way the rest of the restaurant did. Still, that's a small suggestion for improvement in an otherwise perfect experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for authentic Korean BBQ!
Best asian grill i'ver had in Montreal! This is what i am looking for in a korean bbq. The taste is accurate of what the korean bbq should be. We ordered 1 set of meat for each of us & we are full. The side dishes are so delicious. However, there are two things that should be improved in my opinion 1. The servers always disappear 2. The light is too dim. Overall, this place is recommended!

My favorite Korean BBQ spot in Montreal! The place is beautiful, & the best part is the high-quality meat & generous portions of side dishes. I've been there many times, & they never disappoint. The staff is always friendly & welcoming, & I'd love to visit even more. Just a heads up: don't go alone, as they have a policy that requires at least two portions of meat to be ordered per table. Highly recommended!
I've only been to Korean BBq a few times- but was very happy with a different place in Ottawa was much better. The service was spotty at best. The food was good- but even that I wouldn't rave about it. Unless you like your beer filled 2/3. The price was ok for Montreal but nothing I would rave about
Très bon bbq coréen, à tester absolument ! Les portions sont généreuses, viandes comme plats d'accompagnement. Coup de coeur pour le kimchi & le maïs au fromage.
Very good Korean BBQ food. Look no further. Slightly on the expensive side but you get what you lay for. The beef meat cuts are 200gms without bone. No all you can eat option.

Excellent experience at this place as first time visitor in Montreal. Food is fresh & good quality, side dishes are also tasty. Their korean bbq, soup cold noodles & mixed one are both very good compared to Vancouver & Toronto. It's fun if you go as group. Highly recommend!
This is the most authentic Korean BBQ spot you'll find! The beef tartare, seafood pancake, kimchi jjigae, & grilled BBQ were all exceptional. Kevin provided fantastic service, making our experience even better. The boneless beef ribs are a must-try-so delicious we came back twice. Highly recommended for anyone craving genuine Korean cuisine!
Delicious! The boneless beef short rib was tender, juicy, simple but delicious. Beef tartare, seafood pancake, & ribeye were all really good. I'm not a big fan of kimchi but really enjoyed the kimchi jjigae & the BBQed kimchi banchan from the tray. Overall, a great meal that was so good, we ate here twice!

This is a such wonderful place for authentic Korean BBQ. The price is reasonable, & meat is juicy & tender. The cheesy corn is the greatest: the sweetness & the saltiness.
Food was simply excellent. Great service & lovely restaurant. Although you're obliged to buy one portion of meat per customer (didn't know before entering), the side dishes are free until you finished your meat. The staff were super friendly & the side dishes were simply excellent (the meat is fresh & you prepare it yourself). Best Korean BBQ in town, 100% recommend
This Korean BBQ seemed messy to get into as there was a long waiting list & our names got messed up... so they sat us at a table but then asked us to leave the table because someone else was before us... not professional. The food was all right, but I would say the predominantly missing item was seasoning... none provided so the barbecued meats tasted rather bland. The staff were kind, & once you get seated, things were moving relatively smoothly. The pricing was not bad, but on the high end whereas the quality was not best. I will give this place another shot & revise this review based upon that experience hoping improvements will have been implemented by then. Cheers!
The best Korean bbq I've ever tried. The meat was super tender, fresh & juicy. The sides are delicious & the service was very fast. Worth the wait since there is no reservations ahead.

this is one of the best kbbq places in mtl. we tried their kimchi pancake & their kimchi stew as well as a selection of bbq beef & pork- everything was just so incredibly tasty!! the service was quick & efficient & the staff was nice & welcoming. not to mention the overall atmosphere of the restaurant is so cozy. ill definitely be back with more friends! p.s. as for the price per person that i judged it to be... pls take it with a grain of salt; my friend & i ordered way too much food for the two of us 😭😭
