My husband went this evening, the lady who works there was very rude & unprofessional. She had chilly but no bread to go with it, my husband said but it's closing soon you have bread left & she took the chilly away & said sorry no chilly 😡 Then for the sandwich she put the sauce only at the ends lol not sure how she makes sandwiches but I think she needs to be trained better & also have some manners.
I & my husband go there often & are shocked by this experience because we always said it was the best location & that's why we return. Very sad

Ordered 2 sandwiches for pick-up, & was given an estimated 12:42 time they'd be done. I was working, so I took my lunch & planned around this pick-up time with my partner who I was trying to meet for lunch. I arrived to pick them up about 5 mins after the estimated time, allowing a little buffer. The long & short of it is I waited for about 35-40 mins after my estimated time before they got my sandwiches done. At least 10-12 walk-in customers were served more quickly than my pre-order. I normally wouldn't care, but this defeats the purpose of pre-ordering your food if I could've just stood in line & got my food significantly faster. I would have done this if I hadn't already paid online.
I understand things get busy, but I think most customers would expect that pre-orders will be ready at least close to the scheduled time. That's the whole point of ordering ahead. The staff also didn't seem too concerned. There were 2 ladies working at the time. I was told they'd get to my order once they were finished helping the customers in line. After 30 mins went by of waiting after my scheduled time, I had to ask again. When I eventually got my order, there was no apology or even acknowledgement, which is whatever, but it felt kind of cold. Given the service, & quality of what you get, not sure I'd care much to return here.

I've been going to either the NDG or the Westmount shop once or twice a week for a while now. Ì like the subs & both stores are a nice walk from my place. Of course the server makes a huge difference. Most are fine, but some aren't really listening. For example, they'll try to toast it even if I already said no. Ì get it. It can be a long day.
But lately a new server has made me pass on dagwoods. One time she kept trying to add pickles; which I detest. Ì thought she understood after I spoke to her twice. But at home, I found she had loaded it with pickles. The juice had soaked into the sub to the point I found it inedible. Ì just threw it out. Ì then skipped it for a couple of weeks before trying again.
I had to actually raise my voice as she tried twice to add pickles. When I got home, I discovered a lone pickle garnishing my meal. Is that a joke? Does she own stock in a condiment company? This may seem minor, but the subs are $13 to $16. That is too much to waste. 5 stars ordinarily, but only one when pickle girl is working. Ì doubt I'll bother returning.

Way better than Subway. Very fresh & good tasting ingredients. Guy working the counter alone short staffed, covered all his bases today, great service, fantastic sandwhiches. Their bread is delicious on its own.

Its a sub place. I love the fact that they slice the meat fresh. & their cheeeeeese. Its real cheese . They also got the sub of the day just for 9.99. U get the whole 12 inch for 9.99$

October 22 2024 I came in & got myself a Dagwood sandwich! Absolutely delicious, delicious meats cut on the spot! Pickles are delicious ! The star of the show wasn't the sandwich but the workers 2 guys served me, they were so kind & made sure i got a great service. Just a great experience. 10/10

Finally had a sub here in my 3rd year at loyola! 10$ for a small tuna sub including tax & tip. I wish they had cucumbers but pickles are good & there's lots of sauces. I got lettuce, tomato, bell pepper, onion, pickles, cheese, tuna, & spicy mayo on a white loaf. I like the picnic benches outside! Really nice staff :)

Le monsieur allait faire mon sandwich avec les mêmes gants de cuisine que ceux qu'il avait utilisé pour faire payé la cliente avant moi. Je lui demande poliment de changer ses gants pour des nouveaux & il m'a répondu de manière très impolie. Très arrogant!

Love the 'family' atmosphere of the place. It's a 'mom & pop' franchise & they are wonderful people. Very nice to talk to & remembers my name. Good customer service & a pleasure to chat with them.
