Went in to get a sandwich, I had a coupon for a trio. The guy said I have to use the app. even though the coupon says,'Dining in? Just show the barcode at the counter before paying.' The app wouldn't let me place the order for today. No sandwich for me, I went elsewhere.
I go to this Dagwoods every day for a year now. The food is inexpensive, great taste. The staff is not only incredibly kind, but they also remember my order. Sometimes the bread is soggy, but that's because I love their sauce so much i put it all

Former repeat customer. One time I received the wrong Uber Eats order (beef instead of chicken), which was verified & refunded by Uber after review. On a separate visit days later, I placed a pickup order & the owner refused service, stating he would not serve me again because of that report. I was told multiple times to cancel the order myself & left with fees before Uber later resolved it. I will not be returning.
ZERO STARS! The most ridiculous encounter here. I ordered a veggie sandwich & asked for extra peppers & olives, given I omitted lettuce & onions, assuming it was allowed as I'd been told before. A man who appeared to be the owner or manager began mocking & berating me in front of staff & other customers, repeatedly saying'extra, lots of extra,' while huffing & puffing. I told him I never had an issue before, & that I wasn't aware of the policy, & didn't know it was a problem & suggested that he should put a sign if that's the case & that he was being petty & extremely disagreeable for such a couple of extra peppers & olives. Instead of letting it go,he escalated the situation, canceled my order, told the employee to DISMANTLE the sandwich & put the ingredients back in their respective original containers! EW! I've never seen such a miserable, bitter old man throw such an embarrassing, exaggerated hissy fit like a petulant child- what a pathetic handling of a situation that never should have been a situation.
A simple correction re: their policy or small extra charge for next time would have been reasonable, & I would have been happy to pay it at the moment, even!
Moreover, this location has caused mild food poisoning with meats I've had in the past. It's usually dirty. It's dingy. As other reviews mention, it's a gamble whether the produce used is fresh. I rarely go here, but caved while on my way home after an exhausting day- never again.
The employees I've experienced here have always been truly kind (thank you for being amazing, I'm sorry you have to work with a maniac!), but this grouch needs serious mental health assistance & to NEVER work around food OR people.
Definitely a location that should be investigated by the food inspection agency & hopefully shut down asap.
I reached out to Dagwoods via their customer complaint form months ago via their customer complaint form & never received a response back.
Habituellement les sandwich sont toujouts bon à cette endroit mais cette fois il était très ordinaire, sans goût, peu de légumes à l'intérieur les sauves goûtait rien
