Very authentic, tasty Chinese food with great portions. I've been twice & both times have been consistent, no matter what you order. The beef & broccoli has a light savoury flavour, & is not greasy at all with lots of crunchy fresh broccoli. The stir fried pork intestines come with onions, spicy green pepper, onions & carrots, & has a great spicy seasonings with numby peppercorns. The intestines are cooked & cleaned very well, no stinky flavours at all. The braised pork belly is always tender & flavourful, & the sweet potato noodles soak up the sauce very nicely. Each bowl of rice is only $1.50! All in all, very tasty & generous portions at affordable prices. Each dish ranges from $10-20 (even the seafood). Highly recommended, great for sharing dishes & family friendly environment.
Shout out to Aunt Dai who celebrated 10 years yesterday & surprised us with a free dinner! Our favourite Chinese food in Montreal. The best! Dry fried green beans & sweet & spicy eggplant, YUM!
Tasty Chinese dishes, nice staff, fast service, & very reasonable prices. We usually take a main dish, with a bowl of steamed rice, & then share a plate of sauté vegetable to share. & a bottle of saki to share. I recommend 2 side dishes toi absolutely try with your meal: dry-fried green beans, & eggplant dish.
I eat at Aunt Dai several times a year. The food & the service is top notch; I recommend going to eat at the restaurant in person, since they offer more dishes in house. The pricing & portions are reasonable, which is why I find myself coming back to this place repeatedly. My favourite dish is the fried fish in tomato sauce. It's always super light & crispy, & the sauce is a perfect mixture of sweet & savoury. If you like General Tao (which is also excellent at Aunt Dai), you'll love the fish with tomato sauce. A special shoutout to the owner & the team. They operate with a high degree of integrity & transparency; not only is this refreshing to see but is exemplified in the quality of their food. Hats off to Aunt Dai!
Really disappointed after reading such stellar reviews. Won ton soup was mid, weird taste I couldn't put my finger on, rolls were tiny, fried rice was bland, Singapour noodles were ok, not very curryish, & ginger beef was also bland. Overall, for a 95$ tab, nothing really stood out & would not eat again.
