The dishes were cooked well, but my family felt every dish was just a tad too salty. We ordered the string beans, the stir fried udon, the pork belly, & a tofu dish. All dishes were cooked skillfully & the quality of ingredients was excellent - given that, if they can dial in the salt level it'll truly be a five star experience. We are a Chinese family.
Celebrated my birthday at Aunt Dai back in March, loved it !
We were a group of eight (including our two fur babies :) ! ) & we had such a wonderful time.
Delicious, reasonably priced dishes & excellent service. Great ambiance, highly recommend
Thanks again so much for welcoming all of us
We came here with a big group of 20+ people, & everything was organized so well. The staff set up all the tables nicely before we arrived. The food was delicious & perfect for sharing with a big group. Service was super fast & friendly; even with 20 people, the first dishes came out in about 15 minutes, & then new hot dishes kept coming every 5-10 minutes. Everything was fresh, tasty, & hot. Prices are also very affordable for group dining. If you're planning to host a group party, I highly recommend this place. The only downside is that the room is quite small & cozy, so it can feel a bit tight when the group is large. Overall, totally worth it!
All the food is mouthwatering. Had 2 beef dishes & 1 eggplant dish. All delicious with unique flavours.
Best chinese (non dumpling, non-soup, non-americanized) food I had in Montreal.
We ordered braised pork with sweet potato noodles, general tao, ribs & a side of rice.
Braised pork with sweet potatoes noodles:
The noodles were very tasty but the braised porc lacked taste. The sauce had a watery sour taste almost bitter. I wish there were more noodles in the plate, there were about half a cup worth of noodles for maybe a cup & a half of meat. 2/10
General Tao: Very soft batter. The meat was good but there was not that much sauce. 6.5/10
Ribs: The sauce had a watery & sour taste almost bitter. 2/10
Rice: under salted. It might be a good thing if the side dishes are very flavourful but dishes we ordered were lacking flavour.
We ordered through Uber Eats & the ratings on our dishes were pretty high (90%+ with 700+ votes) so we're a bit surprised by the quality of the food we received. Maybe it was a one off.
A hidden gem! The owner was super helpful. You can see Videos & descriptions of the dishes
Fantastic food, decent prices, large servings. & an authentic familial atmosphere. Perfection.
Two dishes are usually enough for three people..
Ordered through DoorDash for the first time yesterday & was really impressed with the quality!
I don't usually go for veggie dishes, but they absolutely nailed every single one-especially the eggplant with potatoes, which became an instant favorite.
One note: I was hoping to try the fried pork after seeing so many great reviews, but it wasn't available on the delivery app. Not sure if that's intentional or just temporary, but since I rarely get to go downtown, I'd love to see it added to the delivery menu sometime soon!
Food was OK. I think it's on the oily side & I know what chinese food, especially Szechuan is as I travel to Chengdu quite often. Lacking spiciness as well & I did pick the spicier dishes.
Really good! Nice portions, they do a v good job explaining what the dishes are before ordering, recommendations, likeability, etc.
