My drink & chocolate croissant came out to $15, which for the quality & the beautiful space you enjoy I think is worth it. Just be aware they don't take cash here.
The Crew Café has a beautiful, vintage bank-style ambiance & a great location. However, the coffee was disappointing - my pistachio latte was overly sweet with no real pistachio flavor. Worth a visit for the vibe, but not for the drinks.
Food is decent. Drinks are good. Atmosphere is amazing. It's like a repurposed old bank. Great place for photos.
Nice coffee & pastry. Beautiful venue. Service & products don't live up the the venue… loose leaf tea bags, but served in a cup & they pour milk in for you, no time for anything to brew, no teaspoons only wooden stirrer.
Ultimately service lacking as it's all bar service & lots of tourists. Struggle to bring your drink back to the table yourself, should be table service, as there are plenty of staff, & dirty tables.
Tasty espresso-based drinks & friendly service. The staff are very attentive with orders & friendly. This is a great spot for meetings over coffee & working with friends, co-workers or classmates - there's ample space & a beautiful, grand interior layout. The architecture is beautiful to look at, & while the space fills up quickly, it's close to the business district & a popular spot. Worth trying when you're in the area!
Honestly not worth the hype here. Yes its pretty but the drinks depending what you get taste gross & the baristas have an attitude. I wanted an ice drink & made sure that it was & the girl said its not but I got it & just quickly dumped my drink into a full thing of milk. So not great. Girl at the cash was great though
So stunning inside. Good service & espresso drinks. Bagel with salmon is also great.
Saw the reviews about the place & decided to give it a try! Like people said the ambiance is great & the ceiling indoor is expansive & unique. However, the london fog & matcha lattes that we all got really missed the mark & all of our drinks just tasted like flavoured milk. I would say if you're coming here just come for the ambiance & photos - your best bet would be to go to another cafe nearby for the drinks.
Definitely somewhere you want to go if you want a treat! The drinks were wonderful, great if you want to get some work done / go to a more upscale cafe. Stunning architecture, but if you want to stay for a longer time & chat it isn't as inviting. Overall lovely.
I had the pleasure of visiting Crew Collective & Cafe L today, & I can honestly say it's one of the best coffee experiences I've ever had. The baristas were friendly & knowledgeable, taking the time to explain their different roasts & even suggesting a drink based on my preferences.
I tried their dulce de leche , & it was absolutely perfect - smooth, balanced, & rich with flavor. The latte art was a beautiful touch too! The shop itself has a cozy & historical vibe, with plenty of seating options for both individuals & groups. Plus, their selection of pastries was a great addition to the coffee.
What really stands out about this place is the attention to detail & the level of care they put into everything they do. I'll definitely be coming back for more, & I highly recommend it to anyone who appreciates high-quality coffee & a great environment to relax or work.
The vibe is magical but it's usually so crowded & nearly impossible to find somewhere to sit down & enjoy your drinks / food. I would definitely go back tho
Not a coffee shop for rich people, Starbucks in cotes des neige is better than here. The coffee was very mediocre & the croissant was the worst I have ever tasted in my life, even worse than the croissant at provigo. I give this store a suggestion, raise the price & improve the food quality. The venue was overcrowded &
made me feel uncomfortable. I would rather pay $30 for a cup of coffee than drink coffee in this environment. The clerk at this coffee shop couldn't distinguish the names of the customers, causing many customers to wait there, which was very embarrassing. The clerk was poorly trained & didn't smile.
"Un grand latté glacé pour Hank," as the barista called, I was about to respond & a dude cut the line & took my drink. Me: "Dude that's for Hank, which is me." The dude: "What? I'm Hank." Me: "no way dude. Out of all the cities in Canada we met dans une ville francophone. Are you for real?" Hank: "Yeah. I specifically named myself Hank to avoid this kind of situation in Montreal." The Hanks hugged it out after like brothers they never had with tears in their eyes . Montreal is truly a city of love. But yeah. I freaking love crew collective. It is perhaps one of my all time favourite cafes in the entire Canada. The building is breathtaking, & the coffee was nice. Its a must-visit whenever you're in town.
Great coffee (no drip), pastries & drinks (London fog had rosemary - nice addition). No drip/filter coffee Been here 2 times on holidays. Waits tend to be very long even in the afternoon but almost worth it during cold winters. Bring your own friends to hang out - this feels almost like an airport (bring your own chairs too) Pro tip: you can snap some pics & go without the wait
The place is beautiful but the drinks are not so great. I got the pistachio latte & it tasted very artificial. Just come here for vibes. Would come back to do work or hang out though.
The location is beautiful, but from what I tried the drinks & baked goods are not very good. It was also quite expensive compared to other cafés in the city. I would recommend popping my head in to check out the building, however I wouldn't stay for food or drinks.
Great atmosphere. We went at the right time, around 2pm & it wasn't overly crowded. Long lines & no seats an hour later. The drinks were good, pastries good though a little overpriced. The interior is spectacular. I was talking pictures with my phone & camera. After an hour someone told me that it isn't aloud to take pictures with camera, only with phone.
drinks were good, food can be better (the croissant was salty?) & even though the interior is nice, there were so many flies when we came in
This review is for coworking. I am sure it is a good cafe. But I would not recommend this place if you're looking to work as a serious professional. First, it is quite loud - because it's really one big open building, like the old school banks. Second, you are not allowed to bring your own food & drink despite paying for the day pass. If you're a remote worker, this will be very bizarre to you. Forget grabbing lunch or ice cream at a nearby place & bringing it in. Third, as you can only eat their own food, you have to keep in mind that this place is mainly a popular cafe with some coworking thrown in. You will stand in line behind 20 tourists in order to buy food or drink. Note, there is no free water or tea like every coworking space on the planet provides. Lastly, it is too crowded outside the office area. You have to walk through the crowd in order to use the bathroom, get a drink, etc. I just don't see what the point is of the coworking facility.
Really cool architecture, & good location. Croissants were very good & drinks were good as well. Seemed a bit hyped up for what it was. It's a nice cafe in an interesting old bank but it lacks the charm of some smaller cafes. Overall a very good experience though.
