Review Summary

Creme Mood Artisan draws broad interest for its soft, fluffy cinnamon buns with generous fillings and a balance of sweetness, with many praising flavors like raspberry pistachio and Biscoff and some calling it a must try in Montreal; the buns are described as warm, pillowy, and indulgent, and the staff and overall vibe receive positive mentions. Still, reviews note inconsistency across visits, including rolls that are dry or underfilled, uneven icing on top, and some batches that feel less fresh; stock issues and long lines due to limited hours mean most recommend arriving at opening when the selection is best. Some shoppers mention the shop aroma being too strong with cleaning products, while others appreciate the friendly service and the modern shop feel, though multiple reviewers say the price is high for what is offered and that there is no seating inside. The overall impression is a mix of standout flavors and texture on good days, with notable variability and supply challenges that can detract from the experience.

I've tried Crème Mood twice, & because they're only open a few days a week, I recommend going right at opening since they sell out very fast. My first visit was amazing. I went at 11 a.m. & picked up four different flavours. They were all moist, generously filled, & delicious. The Biscoff roll was my favourite & honestly one of the best cinnamon rolls I've had in Montreal.

My second visit, however, was disappointing. The roll had noticeably less filling & icing, which made it quite dry. I ended up only eating the middle because the outer edges were dry & lacked flavour. It was also frustrating that even though I arrived at opening time, some items (like cookies) weren't ready yet. Afterward, I noticed in other people's photos that many rolls don't seem evenly or generously iced, which makes them look dry & inconsistent.

It's too bad because my first experience was so good. I'm not sure if this was just an off day, but seeing similar issues in other reviews makes the inconsistency more noticeable. Because of that, I'm giving 3.5 stars. If the quality & icing were consistent, this would easily be a 5-star spot.

First time we walked in they were sold out of buns just after lunch. Tried a cookie & it was good, not too oily. Went back another day & tried the pistachio & biscoff rolls. Soft buns but flavours were just ok
