Review Summary

Creme Mood Artisan has garnered a polarized reputation, with many patrons praising their cinnamon rolls for being exceptionally soft, pillowy, and generously topped with creative flavors like pistachio, raspberry, and biscoff. Numerous customers describe these treats as some of the best they have experienced, often highlighting the friendly service and the passion behind the baking. Conversely, some visitors have reported inconsistent quality, noting that certain rolls can occasionally feel dry, bready, or lacking in filling. While the shop is frequently celebrated for its artisanal approach, others find the pricing high for the quality provided or have expressed disappointment regarding product availability and the lack of seating. Despite varying opinions on consistency, the shop remains a popular destination for those seeking fresh, varied, and indulgent pastry options.

All of the flavours are amazing! Love the Pistachio the most.

I've tried Crème Mood twice, & because they're only open a few days a week, I recommend going right at opening since they sell out very fast. My first visit was amazing. I went at 11 a.m. & picked up four different flavours. They were all moist, generously filled, & delicious. The Biscoff roll was my favourite & honestly one of the best cinnamon rolls I've had in Montreal.

My second visit, however, was disappointing. The roll had noticeably less filling & icing, which made it quite dry. I ended up only eating the middle because the outer edges were dry & lacked flavour. It was also frustrating that even though I arrived at opening time, some items (like cookies) weren't ready yet. Afterward, I noticed in other people's photos that many rolls don't seem evenly or generously iced, which makes them look dry & inconsistent.

It's too bad because my first experience was so good. I'm not sure if this was just an off day, but seeing similar issues in other reviews makes the inconsistency more noticeable. Because of that, I'm giving 3.5 stars. If the quality & icing were consistent, this would easily be a 5-star spot.

The most pillowy & flavourful cinnamon rolls in Mtl

Ps: the staff are lovely, don't believe the bad ratings

I really wanted to love this place, but honestly… it missed the mark for me. I waited an extra 5-10 minutes for the apple crumble cinnamon bun to come out fresh from the oven, & even that one was nothing special. It wasn't gooey, it wasn't flavourful - just okay & very doughy.

The pistachio one was even worse. The girl gave me the one sitting on the counter instead of the fresh batch, & it tasted exactly like that - dry, not fresh, & pretty disappointing. For the price & the hype, I expected something soft, warm, & decadent… not a stale-tasting bun.

The butter caramel was probably the best of the three, but again, nothing wow, nothing memorable. I like my cinnamon rolls to have that gooey, soft center, & honestly? A basic Cinnabon from the mall tastes way better than these.

Overall: nothing special, nothing worth lining up for, & I wouldn't come back. The owner was friendly & staff were nice enough.

First time we walked in they were sold out of buns just after lunch. Tried a cookie & it was good, not too oily. Went back another day & tried the pistachio & biscoff rolls. Soft buns but flavours were just ok
