The food is outstanding, the vibes are really good, staff are attentive & the whole place exudes integrity & dedication.
Whether you're dining in (recommended), taking out, or ordering from UberEats (they keep in-store prices, swallowing the fees themselves rather than passing them on to the customer), ChuChai is the best in the city.
10/10 recommend. Once you try it you'll keep coming back.

Wow just wow!!! The duck AMAZING!! The curry so good so fresh & the peanut butter chicken was crazy! Im not even vegetarian & if i could eat this for the rest of my life i would be more then ok with it!!!! More then ok!!!
Best vegan restaurant in Montreal! Followed the advice from other reviews & tried the mock duck with spinach which certainly did not disappoint. We also tried a mock chicken dish with peanut satay sauce & it was super tasty. 100% recommend the food here & the service was great too!
Good food & friendly service.
We tried the server's recommendations; crispy duck & dumplings with peanut sauce. While they were not exceptional, we enjoyed them.
Very lively restaurant (not very quiet or private) , service was top notch & friendly. I had the peanut butter dumplings & the fried spring rolls - both were delicious & hot, but I had the tofu with peanut sauce, crispy spinach & sticky rice was sub par. The tofu was soggy & flimsy, not enough peanut sauce & crispy spinach was tasteless. For the price per meal, I was definitely not impressed.
My favourite vegan restaurant in montreal. By far the best vegan Thai food you will ever have! Delicious peanut butter dumplings & 3 flavours (imitation) beef. Soy (Imitation) duck with spinach is also delicious! An absolute must try if you haven't been yet!
We got the Thai Princess drink, dumplings in peanut sauce (Kiao satay), the vegan chicken skewers (Gai Satay), the vegan beef in 3 flavor sauce (Neua Sam Rod), the eggplant & vegan shrimp (koung pad makere). I would recommend the Gai Satay & the Neua Sam Rod, it was really flavorful & the vegan beef had a nice crispy texture. I'm personally not a fan of the shrimp texture, which was probably made with konjac jelly. I've been here before & tried the crispy vegan duck & would highly recommend it as well. The ambience is really cozy & chic. The staff is really friendly & explained all the dishes we were curious about. I would visit again!
As a lacto ovo vegetarian, vegan restaurants are a special haven for me, given that I can order anything & everything, no holds barred. I had the spring rolls & pad Thai & I have to say this was just some of the best Thai food & vegan food that I've had. It was a good omen from the get-go. My mom & I didn't have reservations (albeit we did walk in after 8pm on Saturday eve) & we were seated right away. Staff were extremely friendly & attentive without being over-bearing. The spring rolls weren't fried & were wrapped in rice paper (this was a plus for me as I'm always trying for healthier options). Although the rolls were cold, they came with a warm peanut sauce. We ended the night with the vegan cheesecake & I can honestly say we were left feeling light, well-fed, & full of endorphins! Highly recommend!
