An Amazing Mile End Find

Absolutely loved Chez Greenberg. We stopped in for breakfast sandwiches & ended up having one of the best coffee experiences I've had in Montreal.

I had the chance to meet Jake, the owner, who personally recommended the cortado. He described the coffee in two simple words:'chocolaty & nutty.' He told me how his uncle helps him source their own blend, & you can genuinely taste the care that goes into it.

The cortado was amazing. Rich, smooth, perfectly balanced, with those chocolate & nutty notes coming through beautifully. If you appreciate good coffee, you need to try it.

The breakfast sandwiches were excellent too. Fresh, flavorful, satisfying, & exactly what we were looking for.

What really made the experience special was Jake himself. Friendly, passionate & genuinely excited about what they're creating at Chez Greenberg. You can tell this place has a story & a lot of heart behind it.

Great food, amazing cortado, & wonderful hospitality. Easy 5 stars. I'll definitely be back.

Have lived in the area for 8 months & finally went in to try Chez Greenberg. I got the whitefish bagel sandwich, & it was delicious! I loved the texture & tobiko additions. Super friendly owner. Large & inviting space. Coffee was also great. Options for both takeout & dine-in. Don't be shy, go on in!

Chez Greenbery has a lot of great things going for it. As many reviews before mine note, Jake is a really pleasant human being that makes customers feel valued & welcomed. He was enthusiastic to chat with me before I ordered since it wasn't busy up front. The atmosphere is comfy, with lots of pictures & displays relating to Jewish culture. The BLC sandwich was delicious. They have an impressive selection of cream cheese flavours, myself going for the nutty one. I have to say though, at over $20 total, as tasty as the topped bagel was, was not worth it. Every single bite amounts to about a couple of dollars, which is insanely pricy. It was worth trying once though.

We happened upon this place a few steps from our Airbnb & were so pleased w our decision! I love the ambiance, v chill & relaxed. Service is amazing, food is great & the drinks were perfection. I got an iced matcha latte lightly sweetened with maple syrup. So so good. We shared the BLC (lox) bagel sandwich. I'm not really into smoked salmon but I may be a convert after that sandwich. Ooh & my sister loved her espresso martini slushie! Highly recommend & would come back!

egg breakfast sandwich was good. Poisson perdu with lemon not so much. They didnt have the salmon flavour i wanted originally & they seem to have revamped the menu in store recently so none of the options online matched what they had in store. Lemon schmear does NOT work in this oh my gosh. Also super messy ti eat we didn't get any utensils, potato crisps werent good, bagel itself was fine but didnt feel like any of the flavours worked well together.

Also i guess the girl at the counter was new but every question i had she was really confused & unsure i wish her best 😭..? We sat at a table at the terrace that hadnt been cleared & it took them a while to notice we sat there & then to clear it

We got the BLC. Have to say it is pretty expensive for the amount of smoked salmon in the sandwich. The equivalent sandwich at Solomos is cheaper & way more generous on the smoked salmon.
