Atmosphere of the bar is always fantastic HOWEVER they clearly have a serious bartender problem. The female bartender was so unbelievably intoxicated last night that I was genuinely concerned for her wellbeing. Literally stumbling & slurring her words, the type of behaviour that would get anyone kicked out of a bar. She was nice the entire time but every time I ordered from her she would give me the wrong thing but because I knew she was so intoxicated I didn't even bother to correct her.
The male bartender seemed to be in a horrible mood & was giving me & my friends attitude the entire night even when we were trying to smile & joke with him to lighten the mood which sucked. It's a shame because besides them the bar is fantastic. Hopefully someone can tell them to get it together.
I went tonight to meet my partner at champs. When I arrived she had gotten too drunk; which is the responsibility of the bartender that served her too many. All I asked for was a glass of water & was told to go get it myself even though I was keeping my partner from falling out of her chair. When I told the bartender that if they could serve her alcohol they can serve her water my beer was pored in the sink & I was kicked out of the bar along with my partner. Champs is not a safe place where you can expect the basic care you receive at any other bar.
Edit: I've been here a few more times since the first, when I made this review, & am now changing my review after hearing from friends & experiencing myself a lot of homophobia & rudeness from staff & other patrons as of late. IDing & asking the only visibly queer people to leave if they are not drinking alcohol & saying they are'sleeping' is crazy. This is definitely losing its reputation as a lesbian bar & I'm really disappointed.

I've seen several disabled people have to get piggy back rides just so they can enter & exit the venue. Disabled people deserve to go out & have fun & dance like anybody else.
Accessibility shouldn't be an afterthought, especially in a place that peddles itself as welcoming to everyone
The venue itself is alright (though leans very very white) & I quite like several bartenders. But I can't stop thinking about how those patrons must feel
The bartender was almost as pretty as her cocktail creations. Really busy bar with attentive service. Think her name was em or something. Lgtv friendly. Can't wait to come back ;)

Micheal was amazing!!! Total sweetheart but Cat was… something. She was already drunk ( à manager btw) , then she got really aggressive with me for no reason but again micheal being the Angel that he is just had a drink with me & calmed me down. We talked & I went home. Overall it's a great bar but just be careful with Cat/Kat, other than that amazing people. 4 stars only for Micheal
I am in love with this place ! The people are super nice, the service is great & the atmosphere is perfect.
They have pool tables & plenty of space to sit & talk & make new friends. I highly recommend coming here, & they're super queer friendly.

I had fun but those saloon bathroom doors are so dangerous & heavy I witnessed I girl get smacked in the face & have a huge bruise & bump after. They're way too fast & kind of useless.
Très surprise de constater la quantité de commentaires non pas juste négatif mais exécrable. Je vais à Champs toute les semaines & y passe toujours de super moments. C'est vrai que des fois c'est bondé & que pour jouer au billard il faut attendre, mais c'est tout.
L'endroit est très accueillant & chaleureux, il y'a beaucoup de place pour s'asseoir & tout est très propre. Les prix sont très abordable & malgré le monde on n'attend jamais sa commande très longtemps.
Les serveurs sont très gentil quand on est sympa avec eux en retour.
C'est comme partout, il ne faut pas s'étonner de se faire virer d'un endroit si on ne respecte pas les gens y travaillant…
