Spoke both French & English to us. Waitress was great. Portions were amazing along with the flavor.

La nourriture est excellente. Le fish & Chip est vraiment très, très bon. Les portions sont généreuses. Tout est fait maison. Peu importe, le choix que vous faites tout est frais & bon. Je recommande fortement.

If you are not a French speaking Quebecer you are in for a terrible experience: I am an ex-Montrealer fully bilingual but my girlfriend is American & does not speak french. We went with friends & family for dinner at this restaurant. First, not only is there no English menus but if you ask you will be chastised by the waitress! The service is the worse I ever had on the whole planet. They cram the place & don't care about covid. Don't wear a mask either or they will give you the LOOK. Food is "acceptable" at best. They don't have a dessert menu so the waitress just rattles off a list of things. When I asked her to repeat slowly so I could translate to my girl friend the waitress harshly & meanly just spewed a short list in french with a cheap English access while looking at my girlfriend with disdain. I only stayed & did not complain because I was there with friends & family. This place is the worst I have ever experienced!

Je connais Le chalutier depuis plusieurs années. Après une longue absence, j'y suis retournée dernièrement & j'ai été très déçue. Le fish n chip n'était pas croustillant. Les pommes de terre purée avait un arrière goût & j'ai trouvé que la portion avait diminué. Par contre l'accueil & le service etait excellent,

Cela fait quelques années que lorsque nous avons le goût de manger un Fish & Chips, nous allons au Chalutier. Je n'en mange jamais ailleurs. Il est le meilleur. Aussi, vous avez beaucoup de choix au Menu. Le resto est ben ben ordinaire mais la Bouffe & le Service sont impeccable. Allez-y, nous sommes certains que vous ne serez pas déçu !
