The only decent thing is the interior decor. Other than that, I ordered:
1x chicken tikka
1x butter chicken roti
1x masala fries
1x chaii karak
1x chaii rose
& I even put tip even though it's basically a fast food spot, to encourage a business that is new to me.
Result: 40 minutes just for the beeper to ring & when I get to the counter, food still isn't ready & they make me wait another 10 minutes to get me the food, & I'm standing there like an idiot...
50 minutes to get me a fast food order & what do I get? The fries are cold like they were from a returned order from hours ago. That's $6.50 for a small serve of inedible fries: unacceptable.
Then on top of that, the butter chicken roti was missing the extra ingredients that we paid for: again, unacceptable, after having waited for 50 minutes. Under any other circumstances, I would have closed an eye, mistakes happen all the time. But NOT after a 50 minutes wait for what is basically fusion fast food. It took another 10 minutes for them to redo a new one with the proper ingredients, so not sure why it took them 50 minutes to make the first batch in the first place.
Then, the chicken tikka… what to say? Subpar at best. Definitely was expecting more from it, but this was a very ordinary, if not overrated roti… dry & unsatisfactory. 4/10
The only things from this order that stood out were the drinks. Those were really good.
But food was a no no, service & overall organization was an even bigger no no. So I am not sure to what extent I would trust the 5 starts reviews, notice how there's mostly 5 starts reviews, then barely any 4, 3 & 2 stars reviews, & then you go to the 1 stars reviews, & it's the second most populated reviews tab. This indicates artificial inflation (fake 5-stars reviews) & organic complaining (real 1-stars reviews). In this context, this is what we would call a statistical anomaly in the world of statistics.
But I guess, to each their own. 🤷?♂?
Amazing place! I tried the Karak Chai, & it was absolutely perfect - one of the best teas I've had in Montreal. The food was delicious & full of flavor, The atmosphere is cozy & welcoming, & the service is excellent & fast. Highly recommend this place for anyone who loves great chai & good food! 👌☕?
Chaii Karak & Vegetable Samosa are my favourite in this coffee shop.
Service here is amazing & people are wonderful. Big thanks to Hamza who actually run the place.
Alhamdulillah Holy Cow, Labaik, Amazing, keep away I want there to be less rush, but in all honesty ITS A MUST TRY, %100 halal HAND slaughtered. This has been an issue everywhere in Montreal but these guys are legit. Come try literally anything! However the legendary Karak Chai is a must! Love you guys! I'll be back tomorrow… twice 🫣
had a bombay toastie & a karak chai, both were delicious ! will def be coming back :]
Best karak chai in town & great lava cake with free ice cream!
I love this place! I've had their pink chai, karak chai, caramel chai & they've all been delightful. Their wraps & toasties are also very yummy.
Had karak tea & pani puri. Very authentic & traditional. Humza was very kind & nice.
On a Rainy evening, some Karak Chai & warm samosas in this cozy cafe is all you need ! Reminds me of home.
Had a great time here. Food here is delicious & Karak Chai is a must have. I have tried Samosas at multiple places in North America, but this one of those few places where samosas were worth having. Additionally, really appreciate Saira for her sweet service.
Their karak tea is really really good. Tasted very authentic
Absolutely loved my visit to Chaiiwala of London! The Karak Chai was rich, bold, & perfectly spiced - just the way it should be. I also tried the Rose Falooda, & it was heavenly - creamy, refreshing, & beautifully presented.
The ambiance was warm & inviting, with a great mix of traditional & modern vibes. On top of that, the owner & manager were incredibly kind & welcoming, making the experience even more enjoyable. Their hospitality truly made me feel at home.
Highly recommend this place if you're a fan of authentic desi drinks & top-notch service. Will definitely be back soon!
Exceptionally friendly service, phenomenal chai. 💫 It was my first time encountering this chain & what a pleasant surprise! I was even offered a sample of a different drink because I was hesitating between the karak & the pink chai. I will definitely be back.
Karak chai 😍 actually I went there this morning for English-ish breakfast but it wasn't available so I had to order the desi breakfast which also was delicious
A cozy space to have your tea with friends or to study while enjoying your Karak tea one of the best places for karak tea lovers
The thing that I loved is that it opens till late evening so very nice for night owl like me who sometimes needs a cup of tea late
Clean very nice & helpful staff
Amazing experience! The bun kebabs, the karak were top quality. Hamza is a great dude who showed us nice hospitality. Overall a 10 on 10.
It was my first ever experience at one of their restaurants. The service was impeccable, they checked up on on on the quality of the food multiple times, & the food was absolutely delicious.
To top it off, they offered us a great dessert for free. They tea is out of the world, we had both the Karak chai & the karak ice tea, & we were pleasantly surprised.
We will definitely will be returning & recommending to our friends & family.
Thank you again for an unforgettable experience.
