Ceramic Café-Studio is a unique franchise! A ceramic painting studio, a coffee shop and a boutique all in one place. Since opening in 1997, people gather at Ceramic Café-Studio. Whether you are a beginner or an accomplished painter, alone, with family or friends, you can come and paint original ceramics, which are both personalized and practical. The famous paninis are well known, the smoothies are delicious and the coffee is comforting. The Ceramic Café in Laval opened its doors in 2000 at 565 boulevard Saint-Martin West, between Industrial and Laurentian boulevards, at the corner of Sun Valley Road. Since 2012, it is managed by Louise Fontaine and Paola Cacopardo. The Ceramic Café in Laval has two floors and can accommodate up to 100 people, in fact groups of over 50 people regularly organize activities there. Louise Fontaine and the Ceramic Café Laval team travel into the Laurentians and Lanaudière to provide ceramic painting activities to groups such as schools, day care, summer camps, office parties, showers, children's parties and other occasions. We visited as a group of six, including three kids. We were informed at the beginning that a 15% gratuity would be automatically added due to our group size.
This policy is not stated anywhere on their website. Their site only mentions that groups of 12 or more are considered large, with no mention of mandatory gratuity or extra charges.
I also did not order any food or drinks, so I did not receive any service personally. I do mind being charged a tip for a service I did not receive.
Tipping should be optional & transparent, not mandatory & undisclosed online. Because of this experience, I will not be returning.

Vraiment fun la fin de semaine prendre un bon moment entre famille ou amis. On fait un peu d'art qu'on remporte a la maison. & on peut manger , boire sur place. Super expérience.

Concept is great but service at this location is meh. It's very crowded especially during peak times on the weekends. The staff covering the tables to me feel overwhelmed & aren't in the headspace as a result to be friendly with clients. Nonetheless, overall I always enjoy my time here 😊

Moi & ma mère sommes venue pour avoir du plaisir le service de jour étaient super, les filles gentilles & serviables par contre quand nous sommes venues le temps de payer le soir a environ 17:35 la jeune nommée Gabrielle aucun sourire, bête a charge à ma mère le mauvais prix de sa céramique & a regarder comme si elle était épaisse parce que ma mère lui a poser des questions donc service à la cliente très pourrie de sa part

C'est un très bel endroit pour y passer du temps cool & relax entre amis ou en famille.
Prendre un bon café tout en laissant aller notre créativité à peindre nos céramiques. :)

Bien apprécié ma première expérience somme toute. Personnel courtois, plusieurs choix de céramiques pour tous les goûts & budgets, bon éventail de couleurs, plusieurs espaces de travail, succulents repas & boissons servis. Honnêtement, pas grand chose à redire, sauf peut-être 2 choses qui m'ont agacée (le pkoi du 4*) :
- je trouve que charger pour le temps de peindre c'est un peu too much. Au pire, chargez 5$ de plus la pièce de céramique & laissez-nous profiter du moment.
- la musique d'ambiance pop/soul toute l'après-midi, ça vient long. Changer de répertoire musical de temps à autre serait appréciable. Mais dans l'ensemble, je conseille vivement l'expérience! 😉

Il y a beaucoup de choix couleurs & de modèles à choisir, par contre l'espace entre les tables est restreint donc on est coude à coude avec la personne à côté
