The smashburger is great. It tastes wonderful, a bit small but very very good. I loved the fries. A bit soft & crunchy with great spice. That's how I like them. Reasonable priced for a smash burger today

DAMN. Best burger in Montreal, imo. We took it go but there's seating inside, & picnic tables outside. Depending on what time you get there, be prepared to line up, but trust - it is 100% worth every minute. I only wish it wasn't so far from me!
Great food (though my arteries might disagree), I find myself daydreaming about that burger all week. This place is best enjoyed when the weather allows you to sit outside on the picnic tables; the interior is very small, the line goes around the whole room, & it smells like a hot plate in there! But easily my best food discovery of the year.
Definition of style over substance, only reason the score of this place is so high is because of the cool décor.
I personally found the food to be very bland & overpriced for what it is, you'll be going hungry if you don't spend 20 bucks or more which completely defeats the purpose of a hole in the wall burger joint. Quality or quantity, this place has neither.
The burger was great, but having to wait 30 + minutes is a little ridiculous when there are other burger joints nearby.

La viande est bien grillée, le pain super moelleux, les prix sont cool, & le personnel super sympa.

J'ai longtemps entendu parlé de cette place & j'ai enfin pris la peine de m'y rendre. En entrant, j'ai remarqué directement le décor, il y a des posters sur les murs. Par contre, l'espace intérieur est petit, ce qui fait que le bruit est amplifié. J'ai commandé le burger Cali & un Ol dirty fries. Pour commencé avec le burger, non seulement il est petit pour son coût (9,75$) mais très ordinaire. Puis, le Dirty fries était presque aussi cher que le burger (9$) & je dois dire que le goût était également ordinaire. C'est malheureux à dire, mais j'ai été déçu du goût en général, je m'attendais peut-être pas à une portion extraordinaire, mais au moins à un produit savoureux.
It's not a table service kind of place. You will cue, you will wait, you will eat, & you will leave.
The service is still great. The staff is obviously working as fast as possible to handle 20 customers at a time. The cashier still has time for your jokes & questions.
The burger? What a burger… hands down the best smash burger I've ever had. It's not even debatable. Maybe other places tie for best (at best). If you're gonna complain about the size, just ask for an extra patty at 4$. It's worth it.
The meat was perfectly cooked, slightly oily, & very crispy. Just the right amount of sauce & other condiments. Heavenly placed pickles. Magical bun.
The fries are good. Not great. They're like a thin'à l'ancienne'. I feel like they could be crispier but I'm sure I'll learn to love them. They make for an interesting poutine texture & flavour with the spices they use. The jury is still out on how much I like it.
Lastly, this is the first time I see a'casse-croûte' that doesn't serve hot dogs, but if they did, I'm sure they'd be friggin' delicious so I wonder if it's in their plans.
