Depuis le temps que j'en entends parler & que je vois des commentaires. Finalement, j'y suis allé, Il était 13h30, & c'était plein à craquer. Une queue pour commander, espérer qu'une table se libère... pas pour moi! J'opte pour apportez. Je tiens compte du délai avant d'arriver chez moi dans mon commentaire. Le menu est simpliste, seulement 2 options de burger. Le burger ( le Cali, dans mon cas) wow, délicieux, juteux. Un des meilleurs burgers de Montréal, sans aucun doute! La poutine, elle, pas très bonne. Les frites trop cuites. Elle manquait de sauce qui est d'ailleurs très bonne.Malheureusement, Il y en avait seulement sur le dessus. Pour le burger 5☆, pour la poutine 2☆.
I initially saw videos of this place on social media & decided to give it a try because the burgers looked delicious. The burgers were decent, but quite expensive for the size. I tried both the Cali & the Happy Burger, & the Cali was definitely the better of the two. Overall, the burgers felt a bit overhyped for the price. The fries were the thinnest I've ever had, & the poutine was just okay.

This place has an amazing, cozy vibe as soon as you walk in. It feels like an old-school vintage spot filled with memories & great energy. The food exceeded my expectations - I had the Cali burger with a poutine that had a beef patty in it . In addition, it's budget-friendly. I'll definitely be coming back & sharing this amazing spot with my friends.
Un des meilleurs smash burgers que j'ai mangé à Montréal. Sérieusement. La viande est bien écrasée, belle croûte caramélisée, ultra juicy. Le pain est parfait & le burger reste bien structuré jusqu'à la dernière bouchée.
Si vous y allez, prenez le Cali, la sauce est vraiment excellente, bien balancée, ça fait toute la différence pour un smash burger.
Par contre, j'ai moins aimé la poutine. Les frites n'étaient pas au niveau du burger.
Overall good fast food, Cali burguer was tasty & Poutine Ol'dirty 2.0 was good not spicy, but fries are too dark maybe overcooked or fried in old oil. A cool street vibe, just to eat but not to stay long, not too ventilated so your clothes might end up smelling.
Beau petit casse croute, les burgers Cali sont parfaits. On a gouté leur poutine dirty 2.0 de la poutinne week, elle était sauceuse à souhait & pleine de saveu

been here a few times the veggie burger is phenomenal & there mdmh sauce is to die for !!! nice cozy place with really cool art on the walls ,extremely friendly staff!!!! my only complaint is about the fries, i really hope some changes can be made in regards to this as other reviews have pointed out. the fries Always come out so thin ,i understand that they are shoe string style, but this is way too thin & there are alottt of little bits that are bottom of the bag like pieces .i stopped ordering the fries all together because every time it was just a miss. but 100% return regularly for the veggie Cali burger . i love fries with my burger ,i hope some changes can be made
Excellente place de smash burgers à Montréal, sur la rue Jean-Talon. Le décor a un côté nostalgique qui me rappelle mon enfance.
En général, quand le menu est court, tu sais que la bouffe va être solide.
On a commandé les burgers Cali & les frites Ol' Dirty.
Les galettes étaient bien juteuses, le tout servi dans des pains bien moelleux.
Le service était aussi vraiment chaleureux & sympathique.
Une super belle expérience qui a totalement comblé notre envie d'un bon smash burger!

if youre like me & get icked out by meat, i can guarantee no pink blood IN SIGHT. the taste of the patty was perfectly flavoured with the COMBINASSTION of the sauces. the bun… also perfect.
Best smash burgers in the city with a fun, nostalgic vibe. Go for the Cali. The loaded fries are also great but quite heavy. Poutine is also very solid.
Petit restaurant smash burger. Burger Cali extra bacon jam, ajoute un ptit kick de plus, merci au jalapeno. Ol' Dirty Fries fait la job. C'est bon. Mais une meilleure ventilation serait bénéfique, parce que ça sent fort le gras de viande quand tu manges en dedans. Good job.
Première expérience & je n'ai pas été déçu. J'ai pris le Cali Burger & la frite dont je ne me souviens plus le nom avec la sauce MDMH & les pickles. Tout était « bon dans yeule » ou délicieux si vous préférez! C'est le genre de place que j'aime: menu simple, juste assez atypique, service rapide. J'y retournerai assurément quand je repasserai dans le coin.

I love hole in the wall restaurants & this fits the bill. Its actually downstairs & not a hole. I love all the posters down the stairs & on the walls. It brought back memories of all the movies I used to watched. The menu has 2 choices of smashburgers & fries. I love that its not complicated!! So we got the Happy & the Cali smashburgers. They were both delicious!You have to try'Ol' dirty fries. The fries were crispy & then you mix in the cheese sauce with the other ingredients & its amazing. The staff were so nice & so funny. Definitely coming back!!
J'ai longtemps entendu parlé de cette place & j'ai enfin pris la peine de m'y rendre. En entrant, j'ai remarqué directement le décor, il y a des posters sur les murs. Par contre, l'espace intérieur est petit, ce qui fait que le bruit est amplifié. J'ai commandé le burger Cali & un Ol dirty fries. Pour commencé avec le burger, non seulement il est petit pour son coût (9,75$) mais très ordinaire. Puis, le Dirty fries était presque aussi cher que le burger (9$) & je dois dire que le goût était également ordinaire. C'est malheureux à dire, mais j'ai été déçu du goût en général, je m'attendais peut-être pas à une portion extraordinaire, mais au moins à un produit savoureux.
Delicious smash burger 🍔! It's a bit small so I recommend getting two if you're hungry. 9$ for a burger is a very fair price! I tried the Cali burger & the OL' dirty fries. I really liked the burger, the dirty fries was basically a burger on-top of the fries without the buns. I'd get two burgers instead next time (I'm not a fries person). I really appreciate that it's halal! Keep up the great work!
The Cali burger was delicious burger , I feel like the hype around it made me expect a wow factor when I bit into it , but it was just a delicious smash burger . The Ol dirty fries flavour was delicious almost like McDonald's but better , I just wish the fries were better . But all in all a good price point & a tasty burger .
