Los tacos puedo decir que están muy ricos, muy buen sabor y los cocktails bastante buenos ! Se me hace un abuso que cobren la salsa para los tacos, eso jamás se ve en 🇲🇽. Y aunque es diferente país siento que eso es algo básico para los tacos. El servicio del mesero Arturo muy malo, nos tomó la orden casi 50 minutos después de que llegamos y cuando íbamos a pedir postre nos dice que la mesa la tenemos por 20 minutos más que había otra reserva llegando, osea que ni pude pedir postre !!! En fin deben capacitar al staff no solo contratar gente sin experiencia en customer serviceView more

Went there for my birthday with the typical group that arrives one by one & late. Regardless our waiter was very patient & professional (I think his name was Daniel, you rock). Drinks were next level ! The Mezcaloni blew me away, clever twist, balanced & delicious. Food was delicious, a bit pricy some would say, but if the new restaurant on the corner can sell you a carrot for 20$, I don't see why mouth-watering tacos that celebrate the cultural diversity of our city meeting local ingredients could not be sold at a the same price. Only constructive comment I have to give is about the wine list that could be improved to make the place a serious competitor for any other buvette or local resto/bar. I'm Latino to begin with. Food wasn't that bad but too expansive for the portions. I've been to cheaper, more tasty, & bigger portions per order places in Montreal. Now, where they really lost me was on the service!! It was horrible!! I asked for extra limes more than once to different waiters & never got it. The waiter wasn't properly informed about their own menu. There's an option where you can add extra tacos for an extra fee. We asked for it & she said it was too late. &!!!!! They had no agua de horchata like!!!! The place ain't authentic at all. Almost forget, they charge you for a tiny sauce which in any other Mexican restaurant is free & the waitress said it was included!!!!!! I'll go make my own tacos !View more

I use to go to Caifan when it was a very small restaurant on Beaubien. It was my favorite restaurant for tacos. Unfortunately I was not able to find the same experience at the new restaurant. Drinks were bland & twice the price as before, food was super salty & full of fat chunks, the service was too much. The waiter was at our table every 3 minutes resulting in us finishing our meal in less than 45 min...& we left pretty fast. Before, music at the restaurant was super nice & eclectic now it's generic house music. Maybe the restaurant will appeal to people who never went before.View more

We love Caifan so much. It recently re-opened in a larger space, & I'm so happy that the food has remained as good. There are lots of experimental/fun dishes, but the tacos are our favorite: tacos al pastor, res, & cochinita pibil. These dishes are magic -- rich, complex, & so comforting. With a michelada, it's perfect. Big love to the folks who run this restaurant (arturo, eduardo) with so much heart & vision.View more

Food was good, but portions of the tacos were pitiful. Paid 22$ for 4 tacos but the amount of meat could've fit on one tortilla. I'm not sure if was just the night that I went, but tacos made the experience not worth it for me.View more
via LibroExcellent service, prix très décent. J'aurai aimé avoir les salsas typiques mexicaines qui vont avec tacos (salsas rojas, verde, etc.). Aussi j'aurai aimé que nous puissions choisir les plats ou au moins 2 des 4 plats pour le taste test. Mais overall, très bonne expérience.

Nous avons pris une entrée (Pork Belly) & 3 tacos pour 2 personnes. Tout était délicieux avec des ingrédients frais.
