My partner & I came here for brunch. There was a line-up outside but it moved at a good pace, & once inside it was a bit chaotic. The seating system was unique & we weren't sure we were going to stay, but we decided to stick it out. We are so glad we did. The food was absolutely to die for - we each had avocado toast with added smoked salmon (OMG) & we shared pancakes which were moist, fluffy, & mouth-watering. The cortados we had were yummy & the iced matcha latte was delicious. The staff are so kind. We struck up a conversation with barista Sonara (I hope that's correct), & that catapulted an amazing first day back home (they mentioned Jazz fest was on, & we managed to see Nas). Everything about our experience here was so memorable - the food of course, the staff, & the vibrant energy with Montreal charm. Very worth the wait & seating system. We love it so much we bought merch. You NEED to check this place out. We can't wait to come back.
Really good food, including the pancakes, & very good specialty coffee & matcha latte. The prices are decent. I would definitely return to eat here.
Good food (I had the matcha latte & the avocado toast), friendly service & cozy place. It was a tad bit expensive but I expect that from cute cafes. I will say most seating is stools, which may not be a problem for most people but I have back issues so it was uncomfortable for me.
Loved the vibe, food & coffee of this gem in Montreal.
I had my first breakfast in Quebec here & I felt welcomed.
My pancakes were full of maple syrup & the oat latte was just perfectly done (not too hot, not lukewarm - just on point).
Music was good too
September Cafe delivered on quality & pricing, making my visit enjoyable. I'd seen long lines before & wondered if it was overhyped, but the experience justified its popularity-though the wait might not be essential.
The banana bread was outstanding, & the latte, chocolate cookie, & sandwich déjeuner were all well-made. Seating was tight due to constant crowds, but the space was thoughtfully decorated & efficient.
No regrets-good food, fair prices, & a nice vibe. I'll be back to try more from the menu, confident it'll be just as good.
What an amazing surprise! Amazing coffee, service & food. We had the deluxe breakfast sandwich, the pancakes & two iced lattes ~ & ended up bringing home some coffee beans 🫘 . The wait was worth it!!
Enjoy vibe here:) also took limited time qc shrimp roll & avocado toast:D avocado toast just had everything balanced for the taste! Best ever had. As well matcha latte base Mike is nice
Very good food. Highly recommend the matcha latte & breakfast sandwich. Limited seating & long line up (20min Sunday at 9:30).
Bon, j'y retourne quand même encore & encore. Que voulez-vous :)
Probably the best breakfast sandwich I've had in a very long time !! Highly recommend! Also the vanilla latte was great ! Not sure when the best time is to visit as I was just on vacation visiting but we visited on a Saturday at 2pm & it was very very busy !!!!
September Café is a breakfast paradise that absolutely exceeded our expectations! We tried the tomato & burrata toast, which was out of this world-fresh, flavorful, & perfectly balanced. The avocado toast was equally delightful, with the perfect mix of creamy & crunchy. The halloumi toast & fried chicken sandwich were also fantastic, each offering a unique & delicious twist on classic breakfast fare. What really impressed us were the cold brews; every one we tried was simply amazing, with rich flavors & the perfect kick to start the day. The quality & attention to detail in every dish & drink we had were exceptional. The ambiance of the café is cozy & welcoming, making it the perfect spot to relax & enjoy a meal. The staff was friendly & attentive, adding to the overall fantastic experience. September Café has truly mastered the art of breakfast, & we can't wait to come back for more. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a delicious & satisfying start to their day!
Friendly staff but slow service, took like half an hour just for a sandwich. Website doesn't have the menu. Fried chicken sandwich was tasteless. My friend's halloumi toast was delicious. Iced latte was good. Cold brew was typical. Backless stools & low tables don't make this place particularly ergonomic. Music was good though.
The best iced latte in Montreal! September Surf is a very cool cafe in a cute neighbourhood. The food & coffee is excellent, the prices are really good too! I also love the classic breakfast sandwich, pancakes & avocado toast. I haven't tried other things but I have heard everything non the menu is delicious. I visit a few times a week & the quality is always there. However, often (especially on weekends), you can be waiting over an hour outside in line. In the summer it gets quite hot as there aren't many trees near by. The staff works really hard trying to get ppl through & they have a good system set up but it still takes FOREVER & can be very overstimulating/ loud. Perhaps an order ahead system could help fast track some orders? Either way it's such a minor issue compared to the quality I still frequent September.
This café is one of the best spots for a quick breakfast sandwich, pancakes, & cookies. Their fresh orange juice is far superior to the bottled variety. While there's a long queue on weekends, it only attests to the café's popularity & demand, & it's well worth the wait. A must-visit!
One of my favorite spots in the hood. Breakfast sandwich is bonkers. Banana bread is nuts. Latte & mocha one of the best in the city. What's not to love?🙏🏼🎉
