I recently had the chance to dine at Cafe Restaurant Nab, & it was such a memorable experience-both in terms of food & atmosphere.
The highlight of the meal was definitely the kebabs-perfectly grilled, juicy, & full of flavor. The koobideh was tender & well-seasoned, & the barg had that beautiful char while staying incredibly soft. You can really tell they pay attention to quality & authenticity.
The tahdig (crispy rice) was a standout-golden, crunchy on top, & soft underneath, just the way it should be. Paired with grilled tomatoes, fresh herbs, & a light salad, the whole plate felt balanced & satisfying.
The presentation was also lovely, served on traditional-style platters that added to the overall Persian dining experience. The ambiance felt warm & inviting, making it a great spot for both a casual dinner & a special night out.
If I had to mention one thing, it would be that portions are generous-so come hungry or be ready to share!
Overall, I'd highly recommend Cafe Restaurant Nab to anyone looking for authentic Persian cuisine in Montreal. I'll definitely be coming back.

The restaurant environment was extremely cramped, dark, & damp. The tables were covered with cloth, & the host was wiping his cloth directly over the table covering! Instead of using disposable sanitary table covers or having glass tables that can be properly cleaned with disinfectant!
The chairs were old & wobbly. The soup was overly thick. The doogh was sweet! The koobideh kebab was greasy & small. The rice was very low quality basmati. The mirza ghasemi was undercooked & had no distinctive aroma or flavor. & finally, the restroom was absolutely not clean at all!
Yet we paid the highest price - even compared to restaurants in Toronto!

The hospitality is outstanding-the team is welcoming, attentive, & makes you feel at home from the moment you arrive. A perfect place to enjoy delicious Persian cuisine with great service & a warm atmosphere
The restaurant is tastefully decorated & there is a lot of attention to the details including the serving plates & utensils. The food was fantastic, the koobideh was one of the best I had in Canada & the mitzaghasemi had an authentic smokey flavor. We would definitely return to try more things.

Nab is a warm, family-run Persian restaurant that immediately makes you feel welcome. You can tell there's real care behind the food here. The father of the family personally prepares the kebabs, & the whole team is incredibly kind, patient, & genuinely friendly with customers. Their hospitality feels sincere, not forced, which makes the experience even more enjoyable.
The Iranian rice is outstanding & easily the highlight of the meal. Perfectly cooked, fragrant, & flavorful, with an absolutely delicious crunchy tahdig. The aroma & taste of the rice alone are reason enough to come back - it's truly the restaurant's biggest strength.
The kebabs were good overall. The barg kebab had nice flavor but was slightly on the tough side, while the rest of the food was satisfying & well prepared. To finish, the sholeh zard was excellent - rich in flavor, beautifully balanced, & clearly homemade.
Overall, Nab is a lovely spot for authentic Persian food, especially if you appreciate high-quality Iranian rice, comforting flavors, & heartfelt service. A family business that puts soul into what they serve, & it shows.
We tried the kalle-pache here & it was honestly more than amazing. Everything was so fresh & full of flavor. The owners & staff are incredibly friendly, welcoming, & professional, which makes the whole experience even better. The quality of the service is excellent & you can really tell they care about what they do. This is a place I'll come back to.

We went to Nab Restaurant & had kale pache. Everything was amazing - super fresh, rich in flavor, & perfectly cooked. Truly delicious & very satisfying. Definitely a great spot if you're craving authentic comfort food! 😋👌
Absolutely amazing Persian food! Everything was fresh, flavorful, & beautifully prepared. The quality of the ingredients really stands out, & the flavors are authentic & perfectly balanced. The kebabs were tender & delicious, the rice was fragrant & perfectly cooked, & the portions were generous. The atmosphere was warm & welcoming, & the service was attentive & friendly. Definitely one of the best Persian food experiences in Montreal-I'll be coming back for sure!
Amazing Persian restaurant! We ordered Naab kebab, koobideh, & chenjeh - every single one was incredibly flavorful & tender. The kebabs were grilled perfectly. The staff were very friendly & welcoming, & the atmosphere felt warm & cozy. Definitely a place I'd come back to & recommend!
Absolutely loved this place! We had Baghali Polo ba Mahicheh & Morasa Polo; both were full of flavor & perfectly cooked. The tea & baghlava at the end were the perfect touch. Amazing food, super friendly vibe & fantastic staff! Can't wait to go back!

From the moment we walked in, the staff welcomed us with warmth & genuine hospitality. Their service was attentive, professional & made us feel right at home. Everything was perfectly organized & they went above & beyond to ensure we had a wonderful experience.
The food was absolutely delicious especially the kebabs, which were juicy, flavorful, & cooked to perfection. Every bite was full of authentic taste & high quality.

Absolutely loved this restaurant! The atmosphere is warm, cozy, & beautifully designed - perfect for a relaxing meal. The food was fresh & full of flavor, & the prices were very reasonable for the quality. Highly recommended!
An exceptional Persian dining experience! The food was not only authentic but bursting with rich, traditional flavors. The service was incredibly warm & welcoming. The setting is charming & cozy, with delightful décor that adds to the overall ambiance. A true hidden gem-highly recommended!
If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I would. The husband & wife that own the place (the wife is also the cook!) are very welcoming & the sweetest. I ordered takeout for a small meal, & the food more than exceeded my expectations. I got the mirza ghasemi with a side of saffron rice & the damnosh tea.
Mirza ghasemi: I don't think any words I use to describe this dish can do it justice. The eggplant was melt-in-your-mouth & had the most amazing grilled/smoky flavor, & it was made even better by the egg. Highly recommend getting this.
Saffron rice: To me, rice is supplementary to a meal & can even be omitted. But this saffron rice could be standalone. The flavor that came from the saffron & the scorchedness...I think my heart stopped a little.
Domnosh: This was such a pleasure to drink. Such delicate flavors & subtly sweet.
The food & drinks here are so good & made with such attention & care. It's really worth checking out.

I recently ordered Ghorme Sabzi & Chelo Mahiche, & the experience was nothing short of extraordinary. Every bite of the Ghorme Sabzi burst with deep, well-balanced flavors, & the Chelo Mahiche was so tender & perfectly prepared-it truly captured the essence of traditional cooking.
The new family management has revitalized this restaurant with a personal touch & genuine care for quality. Their commitment to excellence is evident in every detail, & it's clear they are passionate about preserving the authenticity of these classic dishes.
