About

Café Redwood sits quietly near the water, serving as a hub for those who prioritize well-crafted specialty coffee and distinctive matcha preparations. The menu centers on house-made pastries that provide a crisp texture, paired alongside savory sandwiches built with fresh, flavorful ingredients. Notable preparations include thick slices of French toast and a bold wasabi BLT that balances heat with classic components. The interior maintains a cozy, approachable environment suitable for quiet relaxation or focused tasks. Recent updates to the workspace policy shift the environment, yet the core offerings remain anchored in quality bean selection and artisanal preparation. This spot continues to provide a straightforward environment where the focus remains entirely on the sensory details of the beverage and food menu, ensuring that every pastry and sandwich delivered to the table maintains a clear standard of preparation.

Review Summary

Café Redwood is widely appreciated for its modern atmosphere, artisanal coffee, and unique specialty drinks like the pistachio latte and mango matcha. Many visitors praise the high quality of the house made pastries and fresh sandwiches, particularly the wasabi BLT and French toast. While the majority of guests highlight the friendly and passionate service, some have noted inconsistencies in staff demeanor and drink accuracy, alongside concerns regarding occasional overcrowding and premium pricing. Despite these mixed remarks, the establishment remains a popular destination for its vibrant community vibe and consistently flavorful menu offerings.

Nice cafe near atwater. Good place for chilling. We ordered espresso tonic & latte, it's not that bad. The cafe is quite crowded with people working on the laptop.

Café surcoté & hors de prix : 25$ pour 2 cafés moyens & une limonade maison sans goût incluant un tips mais sans le service associé.. Point positif : l'endroit est convivial & propre.

Love it here!! Came in needing something refreshing after a full day biking & boating. The tonic limonade made by Daniel hit the spot! He was also super friendly & the place has super cool vibes. Can't wait to come back next time I'm in Montreal!

I had a rather disappointing experience. Unfortunately. The atmosphere good & location is good especially near canal. However dirty tables left uncleared & a general lack of cleanliness. I was there last week got reminded to write the review there food was untasty & when I ask to heat it it was not heated well. Also prices are above average whole experience lead me to not come again!

I apologize for inconveniencing the barista by entering the store. She seemed annoyed that we were taking some time deciding what to order. No other customers in the store. I thought the cheesy scone was good though.

I go here at least once a month for the impeccable hushed tones of the baristas, the burrata & pesto oil in their caprese sandwich, & because i believe it's one of the comforting places in the city (like Butterblume sans haute cuisine, like Dalida's "Bambino" (1957), an italo-Egyptian prism of vibes, great coffee, employees who care not how you're doin but how your food is treated (molto benne!). The crowd, whether Punta San Carlos parvenus or caffèicenti religiosi (🙋‍♂️) - there's no BC here - are those who "wonder what a Mediterranean West Can-coded café gourmet would be like in Cyprus?"

Great cafe near Lachine canal. I've really enjoyed their matcha with fruit, as well as avocado & ricotta toasts & freshly made cinnamon buns. Coffee was good as well. Pleasant vibe & sufficient enough seating if you intend to stay a bit, but it can get busy of course.
