I have been charmed by this little cafe since autumn 2014, so I will be biased when I say that Olimpico is a very special part of the city. If you enjoy caffeine & the pleasantly unexpected, this is the spot for you. I'm so glad to see The Remix still on the menu by the way, I'd be devastated if it was no longer there.
The caramel apple cheesecake was delicious! We also got the cafe mocha (hot) & the remix (iced), both very good options.
Café Olimpico remains one of the best cafes in Montreal. Their coffee is really good. If you are a first timer you should try out the cannolis if they are available. This particular location in my opinion serves the best coffee, but it's always busy. The place has a vibe of its own.
Cute café with really nice guests & baristas! Pros: • Everyone is bilingual & super friendly • Really talented baristas! • Plenty of options for pastries • Very wholesome atmosphere with lots of seating, especially with the open windows! • Very easy to make new friends here if you're new in town Cons: • Occasionally gets really crowded (even though the space is quite large, they're just popular) • Music is a little loud to talk over • Pretty fast-paced (probably because everyone is drinking caffeine) Overall, super cute place! The barista suggested I get a cafe mocha with oat milk, which was fantastic! Probably will become a regular here :)
Ohh the amazing cafè crema! & another must have is the pistachio ice cream.
I love this neighborhood, if you go on a Saturday afternoon there is so many things to look around. Cafe Olimpico will always be busy but that's part of the experience. I always get their latte fredo with oat milk & it never disappoints. I got a bomboloni & it was also so good!
Family run cafe in mile end for many years. Olympico is a neighborhood institution. A late night cafe with lots of character. There are not many cafes left with this type of charm! Excellent ☕️ as well!!
I had been familiar with Cafe Olimpico from other locations but I gotta say after a single visit to the Mile End location, it's certainly a step up. The service was both efficient & friendly despite it being quite crowded. The menu had plenty of variety from beverages to desserts & although I went only for a coffee, the desserts did look delicious. If you haven't tried a cafe crema before, that would easily be my first recommendation. The ambiance was great as well. There was plenty of space for seating (again, considering how crowded it was). There were also a few sporting matches across some multiple large screens & an even bigger projector. It was a pretty admirable viewing experience even though I didn't go specifically for those matches. I don't frequent the Mile End area due to the parking situation, however I would certainly visit Cafe Olimpico on any occasion I do end up in the area.
