Thankfully I came across this place that I had walked by the night prior. Short line, single person staffing shop, but he was on it. Clearly this was a place where locals come as he had orders being made as he saw people coming up & was talking to a few of them. Very friendly & very efficient. A couple good pastry options. My espresso came out pretty quick & was perfect. Temperature wasn't blistering hot, it was smooth, & just perfect to start my day. If you are an early riser, or just like coffee I would definitely check this place out.
The character of the place is amazing! The coffee doesn't disappoint. I recommend trying the coffee crema (soft serve but coffee flavoured)
Skip Olimpico?
Then you haven't really been to Montreal.
Tiramisu is worth bending my no-sugar rule, affogato is heaven, & pistachio is my go-to. Coffee is great.
Im a local here, been countless times.
Best coffee shop in Montreal! Very busy with a line up but we also tried the coffee ice cream which was a 10/10.
It's was late-night we were taking a nice stroll in the old port. We had a taste for a coffee... looked up on Google map & found a nice coffee shop minutes walk from where we were... open the door to this coffee shop there's a good lineup waiting to order... my wife & I look to each other & said the coffee must be good lol. So we waited ( not very long considering all the people there) get 2 lattes to go... WOW best coffee ☕? I ever got. Rich creamy tasteful perfectly blend. Highly recommend this place.
Love the coffee but sizes have gotten smaller from the original location
Amazing coffee & desserts!
Mocha was one of the best ones I've tried so fa
my favourite coffee in montreal ! olimpico has never missed a beat thank you sam & leo for the excellent lattes ☕? :-)
I recently visited Caffè Glacè at Olympico Café in Old Port Montreal, & it was an outstanding experience that I can't wait to share. The atmosphere is vibrant & welcoming, blending a cozy café vibe with a touch of urban energy. It's a perfect spot to relax & soak in the local culture.
The highlight of my visit was, without a doubt, the delicious coffee. Their specialty drinks are expertly crafted, & I particularly enjoyed their signature espresso, which was rich & flavorful. The baristas are knowledgeable & passionate about their craft, offering great recommendations & ensuring that every cup is made to perfection.
What truly sets Caffè Glacè apart is the delightful selection of pastries & light bites. I indulged in a fresh pastry that paired perfectly with my coffee, & it was simply divine. The combination of quality ingredients & attention to detail shines through in every item on the menu.
The location in Old Port adds to the charm, as it's surrounded by beautiful scenery & bustling streets. Overall, Caffè Glacè at Olympico Café is a gem in Montreal. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for exceptional coffee & a warm, inviting atmosphere. I can't wait to return!
A True Gem of Italian Warmth!
This café has become my sanctuary. The cappuccinos here are absolute perfection-creamy, rich, & balanced with that beautiful velvety foam that only a skilled barista, like Sam, can achieve. But it's not just the coffee that keeps me coming back; it's the people. The staff radiate warmth & & energetic vibrancy & the atmosphere is uniquely inviting, with its cozy, cave-like feel. It's my local spot where I love sipping on my cappuccino, while soaking in the easy rhythm of life that hums through the room.
A nice crowded place with several options for coffee & other drinks. Glad that I could visit during my time in this area.
Brought my friends from Toronto to visit this location because I knew the coffee & service would be amazing even if there was a long line. They even gave them stickers & a postcard when they found out my friends were visiting! Shoutout to Sam, Rico & Leo for a phenomenal experience :P
Coffee is rich, & flavor is deep & smooth. Lots of choice. Location in the middle of all activities. Long lines but the atmosphere is chill & not a problem.
Such a cute & cozy café! I tried the pistachio affogato, croissant, & tiramisu - all delicious.
The classic espresso & desserts were spot on, & the staff were very friendly. Seating is limited inside, so it's a great spot to grab a coffee while exploring the area. Love it?
Way too expensive. This cost $18 !!! for such a small portion!! 😭😭 I'm not sure if there was a mistake with the charge or if this is the standard pricing at this cafe, but considering the long wait & all the hype surrounding it, I didn't feel it was quite worth it. While the taste was fine (just tasted like coffee ice cream tbh), I'd recommend doing some research first to see if it fits your budget & expectations. There are definitely other places that might offer better value for the price :'))
I had an amasing experience at the old port location, the coffee is nice & the biscuits ate to die for. Shot out to Sam & john who were beyond kind & professional while serving us. Thank you azizam
Loved the cozy ambience at Café Olimpico! The tiramisu was delicious & the coffee was absolutely perfect
