Review Summary

Café Holt Ogilvy is described as a stylish space with beautiful décor and a refined yet comfortable atmosphere, where the coffee and many brunch options are praised for quality and value while service is repeatedly noted as attentive, professional and friendly; several reviews highlight standout dishes like steak and eggs, truffle fries, the Cobb salad and a well rounded brunch menu, and many visitors enjoy the chic ambiance and the option to linger with tea or cocktails, though some say the tea was bagged rather than loose leaf and a few items fall short for the price, with food sometimes arriving lukewarm and service occasionally slow or inconsistent; there are strong compliments that the staff can elevate the experience on a good day and that this location remains a go to spot in Montreal for a stylish brunch or a mid day break, while others caution that the food quality can vary and that the overall value may not match the premium setting depending on the visit, but the space remains highly regarded for its design and its ability to feel both luxe and inviting.

Holt Cafe is racist! I visited the cafe after shopping at Holt,I don't drink so I settled for some Orange Juice & pancakes, the waitress proceeded to tell me they don't have OJ after 11am & that I should perhaps go around to eggspectation(which I love) for some! I was appalled & very disappointed by the incident that I ended up leaving!! I never went back again because I didn't feel welcome! It's unacceptable & I hope that those who are not welcome support businesses that treat them as valuable customers no matter their race!

Located inside Ogilvy (Holt Renfrew), this spot is perfect for a drink or a bite after some luxury shopping. The staff is always friendly, & the drinks are excellent. My personal favorite is the passion fruit cocktail.

The food is also good, including their brunch options. It's the ideal place to sit with a friend, relax, & gossip about life.

Marc Anthony at the bar The drinks are expertly crafted, & the bartender's attention to detail is impressive. The atmosphere is welcoming, making it a perfect spot to unwind. Highly recommended

Terrible service & welcome. The receptionist didn't bother to greet us, & the waiter (Lucas) kept coming to insinuate that it was time to leave 6 times, even though we were a large group of 5 & had only been there for 1.5 hours (each one ordered food from the brunch menu & drinks). Additionally, there was no queue & plenty of empty tables available. The food was okay. The only positive aspect of this place is the aesthetic.

A disappointing visit. I arrived around 3:30, didn’t even get a glass of water until 4. (I asked for it) Ordered a cocktail & it was an average drink.

Servers weren’t bad but not good. I would say save yourself some money & time & go to other places.
