I came across an advertisement on Instagram for this café, & I arranged a day for my family to visit in order to enjoy a cappuccino & croissant, as I have a strong affinity for these items. It was Saturday noon. I ordered two cappuccinos plus a croissant, brownie & 2 slice of cake. The guy who received the order could hardly hear. We took care of ourselves, despite having paid for the services. The cappuccino was predominantly composed of milk, with little discernible flavor of coffee.(Almost latte) The cake lacked freshness, & the croissant had a tangerine flavor that did not appeal to my taste. It was not something I anticipated.
Café de' Mercanti is a true gem! The cozy ambiance, authentic Italian vibes, & perfect lattes make it a must-visit spot. Their cappuccinos & ricotta pistachio donuts are simply unforgettable. Whether you're here for coffee, pastries, or their delicious fluffy pizzas, everything is top-notch. Highly recommended for a delightful experience!
This little coffee place is an absolute delight! The cozy ambiance makes it the perfect spot to unwind, & the coffee is simply divine-smooth, rich, & perfectly crafted. Whether you're catching up with a friend or enjoying some quiet time, it's a haven of comfort & quality!
For me, the highlight of this place is the wonderful convivial neighborhood atmosphere. It's always busy - in the best way. & the coffee is really good too.

My favourite coffee place in NDG! Their coffee is smooth & flavourful & when combined with a nutty milk or regular milk it becomes even tastier (at least in my opinion). The staff is lovely & they are always nice & welcoming. They offer croissants, sandwiches & cookies. There's a nice indoor vibe. The outdoor sitting area is at a street corner so you get plenty of sun in the morning & have some shade in the afternoon
I used to come here a lot over the last few years & love their coffee & cookies. I visited again today after a very long time & ordered an almond milk latte. There was basically no coffee in it & I felt like I was drinking heated up milk. The most disappointing coffee I had in a while, especially at a place I loved so much
Dark Roast Italian style coffee with a decent selection of baked treats. Really nice service & pleasant seating options. Nice place for a coffee & a conversation.
