Overall, Café Chez Téta is celebrated for fresh Lebanese flavors, warm hospitality, and a welcoming vibe that feels like a home away from home. Reviews highlight handmade manouche, hummus, dips, and the cardamom or rose latte options, as well as fresh bread and house made pastries. While the atmosphere is praised as cozy with a bright terrace, a few notes mention busy weekend crowds causing short waits and occasional service gaps, and some delivery experiences were not perfect. Many describe it as one of Montreal's top Lebanese spots, great for brunch, lunch, or coffee, with popular items selling out and reservations not available, so plan accordingly.
A must visit cafe/restaurant in Montreal! The best food in the city by far! Such a great atmosphere, with amazing service, & exceptional food. My favorite is the Zataar Warp, Hummus plate, & Sfouf!! The coffee here is also amazing & you can't go wrong with anything you get. (It's so good I'm there once a week!) If you are ever in Montreal, make sure to go to Cafe Chez Teta; you won't regret it !!
Amazing place for take-out or sit down. The staff is fun & lively. The food is just incredible. Every bite I take is bliss. They know what they're doing !
One thing I wasn't fond of was the rose latte. Very very bitter, it needed a lot of sugar. The cakes, on the other hand, are all incredible.
Personnel peu accueillant, peu accommodant, pas courtois & très hâtif - ce mauvais service ne reflète pas du tout l'ambiance chaleureuse de chez grand-mère (« téta » en libanais).
Bien dommage car bonne nourriture!

En tant que Turc, c'était agréable de goûter des saveurs proches de notre cuisine. Vous pourrez y retrouver de nombreuses saveurs différentes. Les employés étaient sympathiques & le service était rapide.
Halva latte: I loved this. It was made really well -- not overly milky, not overly sweet, the rose/saffron/pistachio flavors really came through, as did the espresso.
Sfouf cake: I loved the flavors of this cake, it was nutty & really fragrant. The cake was very moist & not overly sweet. The turmeric is very strong though, it dried out my mouth.
Highly recommend the drinks & pastries here. Chez Tata really delivers on the flavors. Service was wonderful also. I had so many questions about the pastries displayed & the barista took the time to go through all of them & let me know what they were in detail.
