Overall, Café Chez Téta is celebrated for fresh Lebanese flavors, warm hospitality, and a welcoming vibe that feels like a home away from home. Reviews highlight handmade manouche, hummus, dips, and the cardamom or rose latte options, as well as fresh bread and house made pastries. While the atmosphere is praised as cozy with a bright terrace, a few notes mention busy weekend crowds causing short waits and occasional service gaps, and some delivery experiences were not perfect. Many describe it as one of Montreal's top Lebanese spots, great for brunch, lunch, or coffee, with popular items selling out and reservations not available, so plan accordingly.
If you're looking for authentic Lebanese food, this is not it. I was so excited to visit this place since I recently moved from Lebanon, but everything we ordered was extremely salty & the kafta barely had any parsley or onions. The manakish dough was good though.
Great place to get Arabic food in the city. Great atmosphere, & the staff are very lively & welcoming. Great place to study during the week, & a lively & active place on the weekend.
Soooooo good. This is our last day in Montreal & all I can say is that I wish we'd discovered this place sooner. I fully recommend! The food was delicious, & the service was fantastic...everyone was very friendly!
Cutest little spot at a great location. Super cute place to grab a brunch & either sit in or takeout. I find the vibe kinda loud/busy/slightly chaotic but in the best way - it really does make you feel like you're cozy at your teta's on a sunday. The manouche is delicious, one of the best in Montreal for sure! & the service is great, everyone is super kind. A must try on the plateau
One of my favorite places to eat in the city. The mana'eesh are freshly made in their traditional oven. Love the lahem bi ajin, the seasoning on the meat is perfect (one of the best I've had & comparable to Lebanon). The classic zaatar is great with vegetable toppings. Love their lattes with a middle eastern twist (halva, rose). Perfect light healthy breakfast to start the day
Sinon top notch. Bonne journée.
I took a manoushé for takeout, so I can't say about dine in experience. However, I have eaten an unspeakable amount of manoushé in Montreal, & I can confirm this to be a top choice. The labneh is simply incredible, you'll want to bathe in it. If you're lucky, get their halva brownie & go straight to heaven. Trust.
