Overall, Café Chez Téta is celebrated for fresh Lebanese flavors, warm hospitality, and a welcoming vibe that feels like a home away from home. Reviews highlight handmade manouche, hummus, dips, and the cardamom or rose latte options, as well as fresh bread and house made pastries. While the atmosphere is praised as cozy with a bright terrace, a few notes mention busy weekend crowds causing short waits and occasional service gaps, and some delivery experiences were not perfect. Many describe it as one of Montreal's top Lebanese spots, great for brunch, lunch, or coffee, with popular items selling out and reservations not available, so plan accordingly.
On a hot summer day, we were desperately looking for a nice place to refuel & relax after walking around the Plateau area. That's when we stumbled upon this cute restaurant. There were four of us, & we decided to split three main dishes, two sides, & each got a drink. The total was just over $100, including tax & tip, which I found to be super reasonable for such a delicious, light, & refreshing meal in a lovely neighborhood. It was my first time trying zaatar, & now I'm hooked!
Service was amazing, even though it was crowded! The people there are very friendly! The food was amazing as well, got a taste of Lebanon in Montreal. We got the hummus (best one I had in Canada so far) The kafta was to die for & the lahmeh baajin was amazing. A little on the pricey side but definitely worth trying. Exclusive Perks: they have Lebanese beer, which I couldn't find anywhere else. This was definitely a pleasant surprise .

Aujourd'hui on a découvert ce très bon restaurant "chez Téta". nous avons tout gouté, toutes les sortes de manouché étaient parfaites! le goût du Liban dans nos assiettes. Accueillants, propres, rapides, chaleureux, délicieux. bref on recommande fortement !
Friend & I had girl dinner here - we tried the lamb wrap & it was yummy! The bread was so soft & slightly sweet & the meat was well seasoned. Food came quickly, the only con was the lack of AC.
Café Chez Teta is a must try for all Lebanese food lovers !! The food is so tasty, fresh & delicious. Friendly & amazing customer service. Highly recommended !
One thing I know is I can never travel to Montreal without eating at Cafe Chez Teta. Everything about this place is amazing. The food, the atmosphere, the employees! My favorite: The cardamom latte & their manoushes (Can't decide which one!). Where I live in the US we don't have anything like Cafe Chez Teta, Montreal is very lucky! Definitely will visit every time I come to Montreal!
We ordered a half cheese & half zaatar manoucheh with added cucumbers & a rose & pistachio cake for takeout. The freshly baked flatbread was terrific, & the manoucheh was delicious. We also loved the rose & pistachio cake. If you plan to dine in, there's only one toilet for the whole restaurant. You order the food inside & wait for the food order outside. We highly recommend this place.
C'était vraiment une agréable expérience!! Le personnel est plus que sympathique, la nourriture est goûteuse & tout à fait excellente!!! Les prix sont abordables!! Je recommande!!!
This is one of the best places where I eat & I felt light after. The food is top quality & freshly made. Whether it is for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or a snack time, there is something to eat. Their ment is fresh & it is clean. The atmosphere is nice & the staff are friendly. Strongly recommended from someone who doesn't eat outside often & find it hard to find something safe to eat.
So glad we came here! Loved the half cheese/half falafel with tomatoes & falafel but the biggest hit was the hummus!! Also really enjoyed the halva latte - not too sweet - & it went nicely with the halva brownie.
