Great experience! Well organized, especially with their vestibule to take your shoes off in winter. Small but decent menu. & of course, the stars of the experience, the cute kitties. They have about 6-7 cats & i think we saw at least 4-5 of them. The staff is very attentive not just to customers but ensuring all is well with the cats. You don't feel rushed, stay as long as you want. Only two tables have couches, wish there were a few more. Will be back for sure!!!View more

Really cute cafe with an important mission to give kitties homes. We enjoyed a few beverages (smoothie & lychee lemonade) but did not get food as there was not a lot of meat options (mainly vegetarian sandwiches). Other than that had a really fun time petting the kitties!View more

Awesome! Maybe it's the kitties but the food was also great (I recommend the grilled cheese) If you're allergic to cats or startled by claw damage, probably not for you. If you love kitties definitely a must go!!View more

Such cute kitties, love that they are all adopted. I wish they had more toys, but they're all so sweet. Pls be respectful & only pet/play with them if they're awake & in a playful mood :) Saw some ppl waking up the meow meows. We're in their house! Perfect way to end my trip to Montreal.View more

Unlike many American cat cafés - which are often coffeeshops with a few pastries & a separate cat-meeting area - the Happy Cat Café is a full casual restaurant that has resident cats wandering around as they please. A few kitties were happy to be petted as I sat on a couch & had some tasty huevos rancheros. (& despite the cats, the space was very clean!) The human staff members were friendly, & service was quick. I'll definitely return during my next Montréal visit.View more

Had a great experience here today with the kitties & staff, the owner is very involved & you can just see the love he shares with all the cats. They are so deeply loved & it shows through their multiple cat trees, hide outs, water fountains, snuffle toys, the "meet our cats" guide, toys available at the counter for them & so much more. This was my first experience at a cat cafe & I couldn't have expected more - such friendly, social & well cared for cats the owner is doing a fantastic job with the cafe & in providing a loving environment for the kitties. Sadly, Pistache had her tail pulled a minimum of 5 times in the span of time I was there by an unsupervised child, why do the parents not do something? Said child was helping themselves behind the counter to follow the cats, pull their tails & chase them when they were very clearly trying to get away from that specific patron. According to reviews, this is an ongoing issue & completely understand the owners hesitation to restrict the entry of children as the only way for them to learn is by interacting with them! However was still sad to see the stress of the kitties who were overall the MOST happy kitties I've ever seen! The owner is doing an amazing job, parents need to step up when it comes to their children.View more

Wonderful cafe with amazing food, excellent staff, & of course, the kitties! We admired the design elements of the place, petted some cats, while enjoying a “pain perdu”, with a latte, & a Gustave smoothie!
PS. If you’re a customer with kids, please ensure that your kids are not grabbing/chasing the cats, & not continuously getting in other customers’ personal spaces - it detracts from the experience at this otherwise amazing place.View more
