Our visit to Chat L'heureux was a very nice experience. It was fun to see the cats roaming around the café. I didn't mind it but most cats were sleepy (we came at around noon).
The'cat gentlemen' grilled cheese was good. The'cat lady' grilled cheese, which is supposed to have fig jam & honey, didn't taste sweet at all. I wouldn't recommend the drinks as well (we had an iced coffee & a smoothie, both weren't good).
Overall, I would come back to hang around the nice cats & probably try one of their desserts. Customer service was good.View more
The desserts & coffee were good, but the cats were not as prominent as in some cat cafes. There were 5 & 4 of them slept the whole time & 1 was not interested in getting pets.
It would be great if they had a room of adoptable cats rather than just 5 cats in a quite large restaurant. It was a very nice time despite the lack of cats :-)View more
The Happy Cat Café is such a lovely spot-super cozy & aesthetically pleasing, with a cute & peaceful atmosphere. They have a great variety of drinks & snacks, & I got to try their bestseller, the pistachio coffee (I think that's the name), & it was genuinely delicious. The décor is beautiful, everything looks really clean, & it's clear that the cats are well taken care of & happy. They have plenty of places to rest & play, & there's even a little gift shop with cat-themed items, which was a fun touch!
One thing I'd suggest is that staff could gently remind parents to help their kids respect the cats' space. I noticed a few moments where kids were chasing the cats around, & while it's great that families can enjoy the space, it would be even better if the environment stayed calm & safe for the animals.
Overall, it's a great café experience for both cat lovers & coffee lovers alike.

Amazing study spot or to grab a coffee while enjoying cats company ! 🤍View more
The food is good, but a little pricey for what it is, however this can be explained by the fact that there is no entrance fee & they need to take care of the cats. The coffees have cute designs on them & the cats are quite friendly. The cats can climb all over the place & enjoy it when you play with them. Good spot for cat lovers.View more
Not only was the food great (I'm particularly a big fan of their desserts & coffee), the staff there were very nice, hospitable, & adorable.
The human staff were pretty welcoming too.View more
It's a nice spot. There might be a slight wait but it's not long. You just sit & order from your table. I went in for an hour for coffee & a cheesecake & to draw. Staff were a bit slow & I had to ask twice for my coffee. It's a great spot though !View more
Spent the day at the cat café, where the real VIPs walked on four paws. I paid for coffee, but they took my seat, my attention, & all my love. Safe to say they run the place! Lovely stuff & delicious foodView more
We had to stop here even though two in our group had allergies. We wish we could stay longer, but the coffee with cream to go was excellent & gave us enough time to pet the cats. The place is cleaned of any loose pet dander, & the cats are well groomed & so very sweet!View more
Cute cafe with good drinks & food, but let's be honest...the cute kitties are the stars of the show. They're all unique & adorable. Coffee & food really was good though, too.View more
Absolutely loved it! Went with a friend but I'd def go back with my girlfriend!!! The cats are lovely & super petting friendly & they love to sleep lmao. The coffee was good & somewhat not that expensive compared to some places I've been in Montreal. My only complaint is the parking, but yet again it's mid mtl so we went thankfully by metro. Also the service was a tiny long but yet again the place was pretty crowded for a Sunday, there was even a small line when we got there. Apart from that, amazing place! Would recommend!View more
If you love cats, this café is pure therapy! Friendly kittens, cozy vibes, & plenty of toys to play with. The cats roam freely & seem totally relaxed. I tried the coffee, sandwich & brownie-all delicious. Prices are bit high. Perfect spot to unwind with cats & enjoy good food. Highly recommend for a chill, fun experience. Plus, they make sure you wash your hands before petting the cats-a nice touch! My daughter had an absolute blast!View more
Great cat cafe to hang out in. It's like a typical cafe where you can order coffee & snacks but with free roaming cats! The cats did try to steal water & food from me, so it is best to be vigilant. There is good spacing in the cafe so I didn't feel crowded by other patrons or cats. I liked that there was no cover charge so it feels like a place that one could visit as regularly as a typical cafe.View more
The cafe is in a nice area, & they've got cute cats wandering around, but honestly, they weren't that friendly, so don't expect much interaction. The coffee was pretty watery, & there was a bad smell, especially in the washrooms, which was a bit off-putting. If you just want to hang out with some cats, it's worth a quick stop, but don't expect much else.View more
the coffee & desserts were delicious! the cats were not feeling super social when we went, but it was still a nice atmosphere with enjoyable food :)View more
This is a cute cat cafe, with cats you can adopt & bring home. They have a cute coffee/tea menu, as well as some small bites. It does smell a bit inside, & the cat hair will fly into your drink/food. The cats are very playful!View more
I love cats & I have been to several cat cafés. However, it was a bit of a mediocre experience. First things first, I appreciate that one of the rules is that we have to wash our hands before entering the actual Cafe which is fantastic to avoid contamination from outside to the cats. However there is a litter box that is located in the female washroom, however the door of the washroom is closed therefore the cats cannot actually enter in the washroom while clients are there. The litter box itself smelled so strongly of urine, the smell literally struck you the second you open the door. The smell is also very present in the cafe itself, which was a little surprising considering the other cafes I've been in have not had such a strong sense. I suggest perhaps some incense or potpourri in different areas of the cafe to help with the smell. Finally we ordered a latte & a cat puccino. My latte was basically cold coffee mixed with milk mixed with ice cubes & that was it, we even had to ask for sugar straws & spoons. The cats are adorable, which is obviously the main attraction. But the cafe aspect of the Cat Cafe was very mediocre...View more
Cute place, nice vibes, good coffee, but too expensive. Paying $7 for a mochaccino & $6.5 for a pistachio Iced coffee is a bit excessive.View more
Learning more towards 4.25/4.5 as a rating as opposed to a whole 5 star for a few reasons, mostly related to the bathroom ventilation & smell. I have come to the cat ccaf multiple times over the years, the grilled cheese are all delicious & the desserts too. The coffee isn't amazing or the best I've ever had but it's still tasty, the staff is very polite & kind which is very appreciated. During the rush hours (noon to two pm) there are a lot of kids so the café is very loud & the service is slower but it's still tolerable, the cats don't really come out as often or move around at that time for obvious reasons but they are the most active in my experience from 4 to 6pm (& it's also much less noisy). The cat café is lovely & I'll continue to be a semi-regular visitor. The price includes a cat care fee.View more
This was an adorable place. Loved the cats just roaming everywhere. We had Luna visit us while we had our Viennese Coffee, which I highly recommend. They come with little cat paw spoons. Would come back if we were ever in Montreal again.View more
Nice service, nice food. Not a lot of cats. I was expecting more. Everybody is trying to pet the cats & cats are running away from them. Enjoyed my coffee, watched cats & left without petting or playing with themView more
Loved the cafè. Cats are cute, cafè is cute & the food is good however the management should consider a few changes like waiting time, we waited for 1 hours & 30 minutes in cold outside. The waiting area can be improved or booking table concept can be introduced. We waited for 30 minutes for coffee & chesse cake. If we were served soon, I am sure I would have left in 30 minutes. We visited in the afternoon so cats were sleepy. Anyways I love to spend time around fluffbabies so no hard feelings. 😊😊View more
Great coffee, amazing cheesecake & adorable cats.View more
Omg cute kitty's & amazing coffee & food great great place especially for day out with the kidsView more
I was there yesterday & everything was fine. The food was good, the ambiance was nice, the service super friendly BUT, the food is a little pricey, we paid like $70 for 2 dishes, 2 coffees & 2 brownies. The place would be perfect if the kids weren't allowed because they keep on bothering the cats, I could clearly see the cats running away from them & avoiding their touch, I just don't think is a pleasant experience to eat while we can see the kids disturbing the vibe, also, the cats would appreciate them out of the establishment.View more
My experience at the cat coffee shop was disappointing. While the concept of enjoying a coffee surrounded by feline friends seemed appealing, the atmosphere fell short of expectations. The staff appeared disinterested & inattentive to the cats' well-being. Visitors, especially children, were allowed to disturb sleeping cats or handle them for longer periods than seemed appropriate. This lack of supervision made some cats appear visibly distressed, while others seemed uncomfortable with the excessive human interaction. One cat, Pistache, had feces stuck on her fur, which indicated a lack of proper grooming & care. Overall, the neglectful attitude towards the cats' welfare & the uncomfortable environment for the animals overshadowed what could have been a delightful experience. I hope for improvements in the future to ensure the well-being of these lovely feline companions.View more
Absolutely loved stopping by for a coffee & getting to know the cats. Great spot to spend sometime with your partner if you're looking for date ideas. Coffee was great. Cats were friendly ❤️View more
The place is nice & it has a lot of potential but I saw several situations where the cats were very stressed. Not the place fault but I think the owner should consider not leave only 1 person doing all the work, may be not letting small kids ( I saw a little girl & her mother trying to catch a poor cat in a really bad way), other mother walking her baby in the middle of the tables (cats didnt have free way to go, waitress doing magic to deliver orders). It is a cat cafe, not a baby playground, what is wrong with people!. The food is good, coffee is delicious. Some cats needed to be cleaned, there was something stuck in their fur. The cats really behaved & they are gorgeous.View more
