Cabane à Sucre Constantin offers a warm authentic Quebec sugar shack experience with generous portions of traditional dishes served hot and a festive family friendly atmosphere. The service is consistently attentive and welcoming, making guests feel cared for, while the food is delicious and comforting with memorable desserts and maple treats. The on site boutique adds quality products and the setting, along with kid friendly activities, creates a well rounded outing for all ages. Overall, a tasty, convivial visit that combines good value, tradition and hospitality.
this is the most popular Sugar shack in Ste-Eustache, great place to have a fun time with the family. Why did i put 4 stars - the price for food there has gone up so high that I struggle paying that amount for a breakfast. The service is okay but they work on volume so its fast in & fast out. you do get the cabane a sucre vibe here.
The food here is very good, classic sugar shack food. Only thing is the bacon is very salty. The service is on point, they were often ensuring that everything was good, refilling the waters & coffee. I remove a star for service because they only offer paid activities (zoo, tractor ride, etc). I have been to several sugar shack experiences & never paid for basic activities. Otherwise it is a good outing option for friends & family.

This was our first time visiting a sugar shack, & unfortunately, it started off on the wrong foot. The hostess, an older lady, was noticeably grumpy-no smiles, no greeting, just a blank stare. We don't speak much French, but we were friendly & more than willing to figure things out. Her attitude made for an awkward welcome.
Thankfully, our waitress completely turned the experience around. She was incredibly kind & took the time to explain everything to us, making the meal much more enjoyable.
As for the food, the pickled cucumbers & onions (served as condiments) were quite good, & the coleslaw was decent, but everything else was underwhelming. That said, the desserts were exceptional-both the pouding chômeur & the sugar pie with ice cream were some of the best I've ever had.
Overall, I'm glad we tried it, but I wouldn't go back or recommend it. The desserts alone were memorable, but the overall experience just wasn't great.
Cabane à Sucre Constantin is a delightful escape into the heart of Quebec's maple syrup tradition, & it's an experience that's hard to forget. Located in a picturesque setting, this sugar shack offers a genuine taste of rustic charm combined with hearty, delicious traditional meals. As soon as you step into Cabane à Sucre Constantin, you're welcomed by a warm, family-friendly atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The staff are wonderfully hospitable, ensuring that every visit is enjoyable & relaxed. The food is undoubtedly the star of the show; you'll find yourself indulging in a feast of maple-infused dishes-from the succulent ham & crispy fried pork rinds to the fluffy omelets & homemade baked beans. &, of course, no visit is complete without tasting their signature maple taffy on snow, a sweet treat that delights visitors of all ages. In addition to the fantastic food, Cabane à Sucre Constantin offers a variety of activities that capture the essence of the sugaring season. Whether it's a horse-drawn carriage ride through the maple grove or a visit to their mini-farm, there's plenty to do that will keep both kids & adults entertained. The combination of scrumptious meals, engaging activities, & the warm, welcoming atmosphere makes Cabane à Sucre Constantin a must-visit during the sugaring season. It's a place where memories are made, & traditions are celebrated, making it perfect for family outings or a day trip with friends.
Unfortunately the food is really really bland. & not cheap for such mediocre food. Hot dogs not sausages, overcooked flavourless eggs, rubbery ham, boiled unseasoned potatoes, no tourtiere or meatballs. One of the first times I've left a sugar shack hungry. The line up was about 45 mins on a Wednesday at 12pm which was not expected. It's a bit strange to have to sit beside strangers & constantly bug them to pass you bread/water & condiments. But the staff is great & the little shop is full of actual good food. Maybe just go to the shop & skip the meal. For the money you could buy yourself a real feast from the shop.
This sugar shack has a beautiful decor. It really feels like we're back in time! Another benefit is that it's the only place that is open everyday close to Montreal however it can get quite busy. The place has a few activities for a fee which was great after the meal we had, I didn't find the activities excessively expensive. The lady inside the animal house was very friendly!! They offer different dietary options & we opted for the regular one, overall the food is average but satisfying enough. Service will depend on who you get. We had a nice lady but she was talkative & kept forgetting things. We paid $64 for 2 entries, tips not included. I assume it's about the same everywhere else but next time I'll try another place.
I absolutely love this sugar shack spot in Quebec! It's become a cherished tradition for us, a yearly event. The food is delightfully basic, just as it should be - eggs, bread, crispy lards, & nothing too fancy, but that's precisely what we crave. This place is among the best cabane à sucre options in the Montreal region. The added bonus is their fantastic shop where you can buy authentic maple syrup & many other goodies - we stock up on the maple syrup & it makes for a fantastic gift. Don't get me started on the oreille de crisse (crispy lard) - it's like a bacon upgrade, & for those of us who grew up with these traditions, you'll understand the nostalgia. Plus, it's an excellent spot for families with kids, providing a wonderful experience. This place captures the essence of Quebec's sugar shack culture. We can't wait to visit again!
