Cabane à Sucre Constantin feels welcoming and family friendly, with a warm atmosphere, attentive staff, and a solid range of traditional maple dishes that please varied tastes. Guests praise generous portions, dessert options, and activities for kids, including a small farm and pony rides. While a few visits note longer waits and higher prices, the overall experience is described as lively, authentic, and worth returning for celebrations or a day out with the family.
We arrived early at 9:00 AM to avoid the long wait times. The ticket booth opens at 9:00 AM, but the actual dining starts at 10:00 AM. However, they started seating us by 9:40 AM. The seating is very structured. they guide you to your table in the order of the line so that no seats are left empty.
We ended up sitting next to strangers, but they were lovely people. Everything was so well-organized, & all the servers were friendly.
The food was generally delicious! The service was very efficient; as soon as we finished a dish, they promptly cleared the empty plates & brought out the next course, all the way through to dessert.
We paid $115 for 2 adults & 1 child. Of course, we couldn't leave without having some maple taffy! Just a heads-up: activities like seeing the animals or taking a horse-drawn carriage ride require an extra fee. By the time we left right before noon, the restaurant was completely packed & the parking lot was entirely full. (Highly recommend arriving early!)
We stopped by the boutique to pick up some souvenirs & maple syrup before heading home. Overall, it was a great experience.
I was extremely disappointed with all of the food. Nothing was prepared authentically the baked beans were underwhelming there was no bacon (bajoues), no milk or water to drink. Little hot dogs that they usually cook in maple syrup were boiled in water. As for dessert , waiter said we can only have 1 choice. I have been coming to this place for many years & as the years go on, I'm more & more disappointed. Not impressed about sharing the bread , Cretons & condiments with strangers. Definitely will not be returning another year.

The service was amazing the food was great ! I was alone between left & right tables. Yes, there's is full of peoples. I when on March 8 around 11 am I have my own portion of food. I am actually surprise! The thing is I'm not the type of person will take other food from strangers! She give me extra food for example extra soup, extra dessert! The price was 30$ per person I give her a 10$ tips. The 30$ is include a free maple taffy & a free 5$ coupon on the back ticket I spend around 50$ to get the discount on the shop! I when to a mini zoo spend 3$ (is per Adult) very cheap I spend around 15 to 20 min over there to take lots of pictures! I when to a horse ride it cost me around 5$ per person! The ride is around 10 min is very relaxing but very short I when a perfect timing I when around 2:15 pm almost empty but if you go around 11 am or 12:30 pm it is very full ! The horse ride could be improved they should put leather seats! Wood seats was very uncomfortable ! I spend around 100$ in total I spend more than 3h 30 min over their! But I was still give this experience a 4,5 stars! I will come back in future!
They were closed today I didn't feel like coming this year maybe next year ! Price got more expensive than before!
Great atmosphere, authentic feel. Activities for kids: horse riding 5 dollars extra pp, tractor, maple syrup factory, little farm 3 dollars extra, bouncy castle. A puppet show & dolls museum on the top floor of the farm. We had a very positive impression. Food was okay. I would say not worth 40 dollars. Probably we paid for the experience.
This was my first time to this quaint delightful place the young ladies helping me were fantastic & knowledgeable. Definitely recommend others to check this out. I picked up all odds & ends & the maple syrup was delicious. The prices were fair for the products.

Food was pretty terrible.. tasteless & plain. They served pea soup, mini hot dogs, simple boiled potatoes with no flavour, terrible eggs, small amount of ham, breakfasts beans, & something that looked like bacon which was awful. The dessert was good at least & the maple taffy of course. You have to pay extra for a short & boring horse carriage ride & pay again to enter into a "petting zoo" which has birds, rabbits, sheep, etc. all in small enclosures inside a small building. Wasn't impressed & won't be returning.
I absolutely love this sugar shack spot in Quebec! It's become a cherished tradition for us, a yearly event. The food is delightfully basic, just as it should be - eggs, bread, crispy lards, & nothing too fancy, but that's precisely what we crave. This place is among the best cabane à sucre options in the Montreal region. The added bonus is their fantastic shop where you can buy authentic maple syrup & many other goodies - we stock up on the maple syrup & it makes for a fantastic gift. Don't get me started on the oreille de crisse (crispy lard) - it's like a bacon upgrade, & for those of us who grew up with these traditions, you'll understand the nostalgia. Plus, it's an excellent spot for families with kids, providing a wonderful experience. This place captures the essence of Quebec's sugar shack culture. We can't wait to visit again!
