Food was amazing but the logistics where awful. With a reservation made we still had to wait 30min in the cold to get our table. Service was very slow. Very friendly but very slow. We were seated close to the entrance & the cold was getting in every time the door opened. I wouldn't come back. Food is so good but the whole thing is just very inconvenient. We had a 8:30pm reservation, we left at midnight. You can see how slow everything was.

The food was great; not quite fine-dining, but definitely upscale compared to your average sugar shack, fusing traditional cabane dishes with a lot of French influence, fois gras & pithivier & millefeulle etc.
Service was very friendly (even to our mostly-anglophone group), & the pacing of the meal was great. Ultimately they grouped the dishes into four courses - 2x amuse-bouche, 3x appetizer, 4x main course, 4x dessert - with a good amount of time between each set of dishes.
Be prepared to wait outside for a while. We booked for 8:30pm but were not seated until 9:10pm. I don't really blame the cabane for this - like, what are they going to do, order other guests to get out? - but you'll want to have plenty of time. In the winter, wrap up warm; they had a fire going & were selling hot cider.
Many reviews mentioned bringing takeout containers. Most of the dishes are served in the centre of the table & shared, so the amount of leftovers will depend on your group size. Our group of 10 finished everything comfortably, with enough for everyone to try a bit of every dish but no leftovers. If you're just a group of 2 then the takeout containers will be more useful.
Yes yes yes. My favourite dining experience. My husband & I came a few years ago during the winter & recently went for their autumn harvest menu. Each time, we've been so blown away by the creativity, taste, service & vibe. Pace yourself, it's a lot of food.
My boyfriend & I recently visited Au Pied de Cochon's sugar shack to try their harvest season menu, & we were blown away! The food was phenomenal, & we had such a memorable experience. My boyfriend even ended up licking the plate clean - that's how good it was! Our waiter, Kelvin, was AMAZING! He recommended some fantastic cocktails, & each one was spot on. Super friendly, attentive, & helpful throughout the whole afternoon. We were told by Kelvin that we might be the first ones to leave empty-handed after finishing the 12-course service, & we took it as a proud accomplishment! As for the food, I absolutely loved their carrot cake, their squash soup, & their burrata cheese, which they make in-house! From what we heard, they're the only place in Quebec to do so, & it was truly a treat. We can't wait to get tickets for their winter menu & go back with our friends & family! Highly recommend this spot for an unforgettable dining experience.

On October 20th, we had a delightful experience at your establishment. It was our first visit, & it certainly won't be our last. The service was impeccable, the staff was friendly & welcoming, & the atmosphere was cozy & inviting. I won't go into detail about the food, as I believe the pictures I've attached speak for themselves. All I can say is that you can expect an extraordinary culinary experience, & I highly recommend bringing some takeout containers to savor the flavors at home.
It was the first time I visited & ate at this restaurant. I eat out quite a lot, & I must say that this was one of the very BEST restaurant experiences I ever had. My sister & I LOVED EVERY DISH. The food, service, atmosphere & everything about this restaurant was top-notch. I give everything a five star - Down to their self control toilet with a bidet... lol Their amazing staff at the bar: Catherine, Maxim, Bernard & Vivian were such Beautiful people... I LOVED EVERY MINUTE & will definitely be back & will tell the whole world about this awesome place. I have never sat at a bar in a restaurant before, & at first I was not crazy about the bar seat. But let me tell you I will ONLY sit at the bar moving forward at this restaurant... BEST SERVICE & EXPERIENCE HANDS DOWN. Bravo to the amazing owner & staff .....

it was our first time (2 ppl) at the au pied de cochon's cabane à sucre & we left with a good experience but wouldn't return as it wasn't suitable for our palette. we arrived for our reservation time at 8:30 pm & left at 11:30 pm. pros: - meal highlights: tomato tart, butternut squash soup, burrata + fruit salad, pork + duck shepherd's pie & carrot cake - our servers/bartenders (we were seated at the bar) were friendly, & explained all our dishes clearly. they also had quick water pouring service! very impressive - generous amount of food - we took home 3 tupperwares - a new & nice experience for us - fire outside to keep folks warm cons: - does not accommodate dietary restrictions (which is highlighted on the website) - upon arrival it was hard to get ahold of the host to notify her that we were there as she was running around & very busy - we were seated at the bar where it was hard to get in & out of the seats due to the heavy chairs, so our servers would need to physically come from behind to push us into our seats - despite the above mentioned, people were constantly pressing into my seat & i was being knocked - with our menu highlights in mind, it didn't seem like the meal was too worth it because we weren't too big of a fan of the other dishes - my personal take: i learned from this meal that im not a fan of foie gras, which is a staple & included in several dishes
As we were about to go in for our reservation time, someone jokingly told us'don't go in you are just going to hurt yourself...' oh yes but it hurt so good! Exceptional epicurean generous harvest table. Bravo!
