Generally nice & the service was good. We had the Burger, Fish Cakes & Fish & Chips. Unfortunately the fish in the fish & chips was a crispy chewy overcooked hollow shell. I was going to ask it to be re made or get something else but didn't want to distract from the nice moment I was having with my family. I would go back & probably get the burger but there are plenty of other food options to choose from.
Fun pub atmosphere. I have been there twice now & will definitely go again. Beer selection is good & I've yet to try something I don't love from the menu. (we've tried the onion soup, scotch egg, fish & chips, cod, & my favourite so far is the shepherd's pie). This year I plan on trying their whiskey tasting & high tea. Staff is fast & friendly.

Always a great experience, traditionally UK pub like atmosphere, service team is always very pleasant & attentive. Good fish & chips, burgers & curry.....well done...see you again soon.
Le fish & Chips très bon. Le Poulet Tikka Massala est bon mais vraiment pas Épicé. Le service est très bon mais il faut être patient car beaucoup de clients
Great spot for match day, & great British pub vibes! Love the selection of whiskey available & the hearty meals, particularly the fish & chips are a great compliment to it. A must visit if you're into football.
Came to this place after hearing a lot in social media & with friends. If you're a sports fan, then this is a must go place. I went to watch Chelsea V Arsenal, where we drew 2-2, but still the atmosphere was lit. The game was followed by Rugby Semi Finals, & to my surprise the place was packed in all its 3 levels of storeys. You also get a selection of whiskeys, beers & basic cocktails. However the pricing is premium so I reckon you fill your wallet before you come here. I only was offered Breakfast Menu where there was options of Fish & Chips or Burger so cant say much on its food menu. Anyways, it's at least a must visit place for sports fanatics
First time eating here & was very pleased with my experience. The venue is very clean & well kept. Nice set up with a cool little terrace in the middle of the place with an open roof. Staff is very accommodating & polite which is a plus in my books. We were 4 people & all of our meals we’re phenomenal & full of flavour. We ordered 1 lamb shepherds pie, 2 salmon dishes & 1 fish & chips; no complaints. Good pricing as well for what for what you get & overall very good first impression & experience. Will be a returning for round 2 when in the area.

Oxfordshire Salad: Fresh greens - Nice & crispy & all the ingredients fresh & bright Fish & Chips: Fish tasted very fresh; nice & light crispy batter & very good fries...great portion
Salmon Wellington: Fresh from the sea tasting salmon; light & puffy filo dough & a nice side of mushrooms & peas white sauce
Service was excellent & the food service was executed in a time frame that suited our schedule
I & Nancy had lunch at the Burgundy Lion on June 21. We enjoyed the food. Nancy & I were both born & brought up in Nova Scotia, so were pleased with the fishcakes. The shepherd's pie was also very good. The staff were very pleasant & helpful with suggestions. I mentioned to the staff that I had played bagpipes at the Burgundy Lion as a member of the organising committee of the Montreal Highland Games who had decided to hold a celebratory evening at the Burgundy Lion. I have been a member of the Highland Games committee for the forty plus years that they have been operating at Montreal.
