Got the Fiance Burger, the Cheez Burger, & the pulled "pork" poutine. Great service too!
Delicious food, clean & cozy cafe, great service. Had Cheezburger, Mamma Mia Burger (both with House Patty), poutine & fries. Wow!
The food was great. Our server was super friendly. The restaurant was cute! I got a shake along with a burger & waffle fries & literally ate (& drank!) every bit. Would absolutely recommend!
A wonderful array of vegan burgers. I enjoyed the Old School (their version of vegan bacon is the best I have had) while my brother thought the Fiance was excellent. He also gave high marks for the substantial side salad. I tried the house cut fries which were a bit soggy. But a minor point. Nice atmosphere. Very good service.
Delicious pulled pork burger. Wasn't a fan of the kimchi fries that many recommend...the fries below the kimchi were cold. Would go back for any of the shiitake mushroom based burgers. They also have lots of soda varieties like cream soda & orange cream soda. Staff was friendly. Interior & ambiance was fun. Restroom was clean..running low on tp...the toilet seat cover needs to be repaired & shifted.
Tried truffle burger , cheese burger, poutine & kimchi fries. Loved it.
The veggie burger was incredibly dry & over fried...it was really tough. The wait was about 45 mn when the restaurant was fairly empty, they were open for hours mind you.
Shared the house patty fiancé burger & the upgraded kimchi fries with my husband & it was the perfect amount of food for lunch. Burger was one of the tastiest veggie patties I've had. With the "bacon & cheese" it reminded me of steak & shake burgers. This was my first kimchi fries experience. The pickled veggies added so much flavor & somehow didn't make the fries all soggy. Really great & affordable vegan diner.
It was alright, yet I've been going to this place for years & last time I went they reduced the portions & slightly increased the price. Also the waffle fries used to be crisp.& crunchy. Not so much anymore.
Burger Fiancé in Montreal is a standout spot for anyone craving a top-tier VEGAN burger experience. The menu offers a perfect blend of classic & gourmet vegan options, with fresh, high-quality ingredients that make each bite memorable. The juicy patties, crispy fries, & house-made sauces are all thoughtfully crafted, ensuring a satisfying meal. Really loved the mozza sticks as well as the Crispy Spicy Burger. Vegetarian & gluten-free options are available, & the shakes are a must-try. The friendly, knowledgeable staff add to the welcoming vibe, making Burger Fiancé a must-visit for burger lovers in Montreal. Highly recommended!
A very nice burger joint for vegetarian/vegan eaters near Notre-Dame Basilica. Burger quality was excellent & kimchi fries were too good.
I am giving two stars since in the last year & a half the price for a burger was risen $9 which is a huge increase. HOWEVER, when my burger went from $13 to $20 it now included their waffle fries which I always got anyways so the increase made sense. But ever since Burger Fiance "married" (whatever that means) Bvrger I now have to pay $2 extra to have waffle fries. So my go to order has risen by $9. Idk whose idea it was to change the waffle fries but it was a terrible idea, I would rather have no fries at all than have the new default fries. This place makes the best vegan burgers but getting rid of their staple fries is a terrible business decision giving few places in MTL even have waffle fries for starters. I was worried when I heard this place was associated with Christian given how many restaurants he opens & closes. I just hope they stop changing Burger Fiance, after all Bvrger is the restaurant that closed.
Usually not the biggest fan of vegan food but this place did it really really well. I had the namesake Fiance Burger & it was great. The fries were quite nice, though I wasn't as much of a fan of the Caesar salad but the pseudo bacon(?) in it would probably taste better to others. It was a bit pricey though. Staff was bilingual.
Marry me, Burger Fiancé! Love that there is a dedicated vegan spot close to Old Montreal that brings out the comfort food love in all of us. Burgers here are massive & use an in-house patty or you can sub for impossible meat for an additional charge. I had to try their Spicy Chick-en Sandwich ($21) which uses cajun shiitake mushroom for its burger, along with vegan ranch, lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, & maple syrup. The burger was fire but definitely a lot to consume even in just one sitting. The waffle fries included were a great touch as well. The decor inside was super cute. If it wasn't so busy during lunch, I would have considered eating inside while the food was still fresh. So while the prices are definitely higher than I'd like them, I can't deny that the quality is there & absolutely a smashing burger option.
The sweet potato fries were more exciting than the'Vegan Cheeseburger' | They didn't have mayonnaise which was a bit sad | Good music
A little on the pricier side for burgers & fries, etc., but honestly completely worth it because everything is beyond delicious. Lots of unique options including an amazing gyro.
