The Holder brothers welcome you to their beautiful Brasserie Bernard for a pleasant evening or a friendly lunch. This place has become a classic on Bernard Street in the beautiful Outremont district; the neighbourhood’s charm contributes greatly to the charm of the restaurant. Try their fine but unpretentious European cuisine, in a warm, elegant and vibrant atmosphere
Overall Brasserie Bernard earns praise for its warm Parisian brasserie vibe, comfortable and spacious setting, attentive and friendly service, and a varied menu that delivers well executed classics such as moules frites, onion soup, ravioli, duck confit and steak frites, with desserts like pavlova and pudding chomeur also mentioned; the ambiance and wine list are frequently highlighted and the place is described as lively yet suitable for couples, groups or special occasions, though a few reviews note noise levels and occasional slower service when busy and a few dishes that lack salt balance or are priced high for the portion; many guests say they would return, recommend Brasserie Bernard, and consider it a top French bistro experience in Montreal
Excellent service & discret.
J`ai juste hâte d`y revenir prochainement !
Great location, service & atmosphere. We had the endive salad that was fresh & delicious with a hint of cheese. As the main course we ordered the fish & chips. The portion was quite generous. The cod was moist & tasty. The batter was a little too crispy & dry but passable. Would definitely go back & try another dish.
