Best meal I had in ages. I had lunch here with very picky people, & we were all in awe! Food is fresh, flavorful, & pristine quality. Meats melted in your mouth. Rice was so good I could've had that as my main meal. Mocktails were delicious. Service was friendly. Atmosphere & decor was comfortable & chic. Definitely coming back for dinner!
As someone who knows & deeply appreciates authentic Persian cooking, I can say that the food at Bous is truly exceptional. Persian cuisine may look simple, but getting the flavors, freshness, balance, & textures exactly right takes tremendous skill-& Bous absolutely gets it right.
Everything we tasted was incredibly fresh, clean, beautifully prepared, & bursting with flavor. Nothing was overly heavy or masked by excessive seasoning. You could taste the quality of the ingredients & the care that went into every dish. The flavors were unmistakably Persian & authentic, yet the presentation & execution felt refined & elevated.
It is rare to find Persian food that maintains the soul & authenticity of traditional home cooking while delivering a truly sophisticated restaurant experience. Bous manages to do both effortlessly.
Bous is one of a kind. Incredible food, beautiful surroundings, & an experience that makes you want to return before you've even left. Montreal is very lucky to have this restaurant.
We drove all the way from Boston to Montreal specifically to try Bous, & it was absolutely worth the trip. From the moment we walked in, everything was exceptional.
The food quality, service, & ambiance are truly second to none. The restaurant manages to be beautifully elegant & sophisticated while still feeling warm, genuine, & wonderfully authentic,a combination that is very hard to achieve. Every detail felt thoughtful, & the entire experience was memorable from beginning to end.
Bous has easily become one of our favorite Montreal discoveries, & we will absolutely return.
& one request from your new Boston fans: Bous, please come to Boston & open a restaurant here! We need you! ❤?
Highly, highly recommended.
We visited this resto for my wife's birthday !
From the service to the food quality to the presentation all excellent 🥂A great addition to the Montreal food scene ! Bravo 👏
We were a group of 4, 2 adults & two teenagers. We are Persian but both teenagers have grown up in Canada & very difficult to impress them with Persian food made at home.
Given the above, we all loved every thing we ordered from starters to main course & desserts.
The tastes were elegant as if one is in a dream. My teenage son said this was not normal Persian food, in fact it was'fine Persian food & amazingly delicious'. He asked me to try to improve the dishes I make to be similar to what Bous offered.
The rice was fragrant, the onion marinated in lemon juice & sumac was amazing, meat was tender & juicy, & tasting the bbq'd eggplant with kashk took us to heaven. Last but not the least, was the quality of desserts including the elegantly decorated Persian saffron ice cream, Persian love cakes with rhubarb, & the authentic tea with fragrance of cinnamon & cumin.
I give 5 star to Bous, & would even give more stars if I could push the limit.
What an amazing experience! The food was absolutely delicious, & every dish was full of flavor & beautifully presented. The atmosphere was just as impressive. They perfectly blended modern design with beautiful Persian cultural elements, creating a warm & elegant space that makes you want to stay for hours.
The service was truly top notch. honestly one of the best dining experiences I've had in Montreal! Our server Armina was such a sweetheart, she took exceptional care of us from beginning to end. She was incredibly friendly, professional, & made us feel right at home. Her positive attitude & genuine hospitality made our visit even more enjoyable.
I'd also like to recognize the manager, Omar, who was clearly very experienced & professional. His positive attitude & hands-on approach ensured that every guest received the highest standard of service. It's clear that he takes great pride in maintaining exceptional quality throughout the restaurant.
I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic Persian cuisine, a beautiful atmosphere, & outstanding hospitality. Can't wait to come back!
BOUS is truly the place to experience authentic Persian food in a modern, elegant setting. The quality of the ingredients, the depth of flavor, & the attention to detail in every dish are incredible. Every element feels intentional, & each dish tells a story.
The homemade yogurt is unlike anything you find in stores or at most restaurants. It adds richness, balance, & complexity to the meal in such a beautiful way. The kebabs are also exceptional. Unlike many Persian restaurants, they use a charcoal grill, which gives the meat that deep, smoky flavor that kebabs are meant to have. The chicken kebab is hands down the best I've ever had! Tender, juicy, perfectly balanced, & full of flavor.
The kashk-e bademjoon with sangak bread is another standout. It pairs so well together & is absolutely worth ordering.
The stews are also excellent, especially the fesenjoon, which is traditionally made with duck. It's rich, comforting, & deeply flavorful.
The drinks are just as memorable. They're unique, refreshing, & full of character, with each one feeling rooted in Iranian culture.
The desserts are also effortlessly amazing. The faloodeh is so refreshing, with the perfect sweet-&-sour balance, & it's something you simply cannot find at this level of quality just anywhere. Their saffron ice cream sandwich is another must-try. It's made with a traditional ghorabieh cookie, one of my favorite Persian cookies, & the combination works beautifully.
The atmosphere at BOUS is warm, welcoming, chic, & absolutely gorgeous. It feels modern without losing the soul of Persian hospitality. It's refreshing to see Persian food presented with such care & high standards while still honoring its core flavors & identity.
BOUS is doing justice to Persian cuisine in the modern era. It's the perfect place to introduce friends to Persian food, & a restaurant that truly celebrates the beauty, depth, & richness of Iranian culture.
Very disappointing experience. The prices were far too high for what was served. The koobideh & jooje kababs were each about half a skewer, making the portions surprisingly small. The kababs were served without rice, which is very unusual for a Persian restaurant & made the meal feel incomplete. The overall food quality was quite ordinary. Considering the high prices, the meal offered very poor value for money.
Lovely space & great ambiance. You can see they thought of quality for the furniture & decor, it does feel high end, sleek yet warm. I went for lunch & the service was very friendly, attentive & helped us select from the menu. The food was very good, you can also tell they use quality ingredients. Portions were perfect & the formula including appetizer & main meal is well priced (in a city where much of everything is now overpriced & lacks quality). The space is great for groups also, so I am looking forward to bring a group for an evening dinner. I definetely recommend the experience.
