Bous offers a sophisticated and elevated take on Persian cuisine in Montreal, blending authentic, high-quality flavors with a modern, artistic presentation. Guests consistently praise the warm hospitality, elegant and thoughtfully curated interior design, and a menu that honors traditional recipes while providing a refined fine dining experience. Standout dishes like the kashk-e bademjoon, saffron rice, and various kebabs frequently receive high acclaim, complemented by a unique selection of creative cocktails and mocktails. While some diners express preferences for different portion sizes or pricing structures, the overwhelming consensus highlights the restaurant as a memorable culinary gem that is perfect for special occasions and anyone looking to experience Persian culture in a beautifully crafted setting.
I was initially looking for Boustan Crescent but took the wrong turn & ended up at Bous Montreal. Never had Persian food before & I'm glad I took the wrong turn because this place was amazing! The lamb & filet mignon were amazingly tender & flavorful - fell right off the bone. The service was impeccable. Shout out to Houssam & Alexis for their excellent service! I will definitely come back!
Incredible restaurant, the food is delicious, the servers are amazing & have such a good energy & the interior design is absolutely charming. I recommend it highly. The service of Armina was on point , she's so sweet 💕
Amazing food, amazing service. Armina took great care of our table.
The only little downside would be that we found it a little bit overpriced compared to other Persian restaurants we've been to that were serving very similar dishes & tastes. Also service could get a little bit long if the place is crowded.
Aside from that I 1000% recommended especially for a date night!
Very disappointing experience. The food was poor quality & lacked flavor, not Persian food at all.The service was slow & unprofessional, & the prices were far too high for what was offered. Overall, it was not worth the money. I hope the restaurant improves both the food & customer service.
Absolutely loved this place! The Persian food was incredibly delicious, & the presentation was beautiful. The decor & overall atmosphere were so elegant & artistic. The staff were also incredibly kind, welcoming, & friendly, which made the whole experience even better. You can really see the care & passion in every detail. Such a beautiful experience! I'll definitely be coming back! 🤍✨
The food was definitely the highlight; traditional, authentic, & absolutely delicious. Both my starter served with the traditional bread & main course were very well prepared & full of flavour, & I really enjoyed them!
The service, however, could be improved.
The cutlery was also not changed between the two courses. With Persian dishes having such distinct & rich flavours, using the same cutlery can mix the tastes between courses, which is not ideal. The cocktail also arrived quite late, only with the main course & after I had asked for it twice. Unfortunately, it was also very alcohol-forward, to the point that the alcohol overpowered the other flavours (almost more aragh sagi than cocktail 😅).
The dessert was tasty, Bastani Sonati, but it was served with two very large cookies that unfortunately overpowered the ice cream rather than complementing it.
The interior is lovely & has a nice atmosphere. Overall, excellent traditional food with some room for improvement in the service & dessert ingredients.
When we talk about a luxury restaurant, it doesn't mean a dark atmosphere, unreasonably high prices, or tiny portions. It means that everything should be thoughtfully designed & in its proper place. If a high-end dish is served in a small portion or a wierd weak coctail. The same applies to dim lighting & others .The design was beautiful .overall, the prices were unreasonably high. None of these things define luxury.
Way overpriced for a regular Persian menu . There was nothing special in the menu to justify the price. Same food you can get for $20 you get it here for $90 .
Their cocktails has so specific taste that doesn't sit right with the alcohol. The inside isn't fancy or anything plus they have a camel rag hanging on the wall.
5/5 ⭐? Everything was amazing - the food, service, & ambiance. The food was so good & the atmosphere was beautiful. We had such a great time & honestly loved everything about the experience. Definitely coming back!
Fantastic Persian dining experience with delicious food & attentive service. The atmosphere was warm & relaxing, & the space was exceptionally clean. Everything we tried was excellent, but the lamb neck with rice was simply outstanding. Highly recommend for any occasion, including for those experiencing Persian cuisine for the first time.
