Bootlegger Cocktail Bar & Cuisine est largement salué pour ses cocktails créatifs, une excellente sélection de whiskies et une ambiance speakeasy accueillante avec un service attentif; le lieu offre des cocktails bien équilibrés, des huîtres en happy hour et une atmosphère chaleureuse et intime qui en fait une adresse idéale pour un rendez vous, entre amis ou un moment plus posé, agrémentée de concerts de jazz live le dimanche. Certaines notes mentionnent un service parfois irrégulier ou lent, des prix élevés et des incohérences dans certains plats, mais dans l'ensemble l'impression générale est celle d'un endroit unique et remarquable, un vrai coup de cœur pour les amateurs de cocktails et pour l'ambiance rétro.
Loved the underground type vibe of this bar. Tony our server was very knowledgeable & friendly. He even gave us recommendations for similar bars since we were from Toronto . It was also cool getting to see how the drinks were made, it was an entire show. Drink also tasted phenomenal & the presentation was very good
Une première visite pour moi mais malheureusement la dernière. Je fait assez le tour des bons resto & bar dans notre belle ville pour trouver l'erreur dans cette établissement. La déco est merveilleuse & la music aussi 👌 Nous avons commander deux Hendrix/tonic chaque. Assis au bar j'ai aimer les détails du bar & la belle variété des bouteille disponible. Ma surprise a était quand nous étions prêt à partir & demander l'addition ! 98$ pour 4 verres !! Je me suis trouver à essayez à comprendre les détails de la factures. 23$ pour un Gin/tonic est un peu exagéré !! Je comprend pas l'idée derrière le plan d'marketing a invité le client à revenir avec des prix comme ça. Spécialement quand le bar a tellement de potentiel. Câline nous étions à deux coins rue 2 jours avant pis 14$ pour le même drink. J'ai payé 2 bouteilles de Hendrix à la SAQ en 4 verre chez vous! Ça fait réfléchir 😏

This place has a lovely speakeasy / old whiskey bar atmosphere, with dark lighting, heavy wooden tables, & a décor made out of old whiskey cardboard boxes. They have an extensive selection of good whiskeys, & some delicious cocktails. (I recommend the Lady in Green & anything from the Oncteaux & Cremeux section). Also, the DJ was spinning some really good music.
Nous sommes venu le 18 septembre car il s'agit d'un endroit qui participe à la negroni's week. L'accueil & le service de la part de Valentin est irréprochable. Cependant nous sommes déçus concernant le bar, j'avais dis à mes amis qu'il y aurait des cocktails au rhum car le bar participe également à la Guadeloupe gourmande, seulement le ti punch était disponible. Quand au negroni & ses autres versions proposées, je suis encore en train de me demander où était le Campari dans nos verres... dommage
This was an amazing place!! Top notch whiskey selection, although claimed he was new server was excellent. Bartender was a superb mixologist. Decor exactly what you would expect for a whiskey bar. I've been to whiskey only bars in Amsterdam, Chicago, Vegas. This is what you expect. But the music was awful to the point we left after about an hours time. We mentioned to our sever our tables distaste for the Dj's choice of music & Volume. His reply was " really I'm loving it!" Well guess what I'm the paying customer. That single comment probably cost him over 50% of his tip. Then we asked about Merch Tshirt being from out of town Europe & Ontario. Only to be told we dont have any in house. But you can order online? This place could have easily made it night to remember. But dropped the ball on the simple stuff. Remember why people visit your establishment.... to have a good time not to watch you have a good time.
The cocktails were awesome. However, the service was slow. I think we waited about 40 minutes to get 5 drinks & there were 5-6 other clients in the bar.
Food, cocktails, excellent, Nice variety of scotch & whiskeys. Music not suitable for scotch & whiskey lovers. The DJ was playing dance music & Techno. I would have liked to listen to jazz/lounge music while enjoying my bourbon. Only 2 servers on the floor. A member of the group was forgotten for his scotch selection. Seats NOT confortable (Hard wood church bench & wood chairs. This place has a lot of potential perfect decoration, beautiful bar, EXCELLENT FOOD, wonderful cocktails. Upgrade with seats & more service would make this place high top rate place to be.
Nice place with good service, we were there Sunday & enjoyed the live Jazz it was a real treat, oysters were fresh & delicious & even the Nachos were good, we also had beer which was also great. I wish they would add a nice beef hamburger or onion rings on the menu but it is after all a bar with a great selection of whiskeys & coktails.
