Ainsi, nous offrons en plus du menu À la Carte et de la Table d'Hôte, un menu Théâtre pendant la saison régulière du Centaur de 17h30 à 18h30. Chez nous rapidité et gourmandise peuvent se conjuguer. Bonaparte se distingue par une élégante ambiance française et un cadre chaleureux au cœur du Vieux-Montréal. Le service est généralement attentif et professionnel, avec une équipe accueillante et connaissant bien le menu et les accords vins. La cuisine, fidèle à l'esprit français, met en valeur des plats comme le canard confit, le magret de canard, le filet et l'agneau, ainsi que des fruits de mer et des desserts délicats, et les menus dégustation avec les accords offrent souvent une expérience réussie. Le cadre intime et la présentation soignée créent une atmosphère idéale pour une soirée romantique ou une occasion spéciale. Le choix est varié, les plats sont souvent décrits comme savoureux et bien exécutés, et la carte des vins et les cocktails apportent une belle touche. Had dinner with friends for our first try in this restaurant, tried the MTL à table menu($80 per person)plus a glass of wine. Here's my opinion for your reference: -Environment: it's ok, nothing too fancy or too bad, overall ambiance is good; -Food taste: in all four courses, only the Phyllo wrapped rabbit confit was delicious, the rest were not up to high-end restaurant standard at all. Ask anyone who studies cuisine or have been to good restaurants: this display(main course) is a disaster! & the taste...frankly I think some supermarket cooked food would taste better than this. Veal flank was too chewy, beef tastes bloody, & the chicken breasts were hard & dry as rock. -Service: they're attentive, appreciate their effort in pouring water or placing utensils for us, but it'd be safer if they tell us before handing the water over shoulders. -Hygiene: I did not like the fact that they're cutting bread in the hallway's counter, without any disinfectant or gloves, they just touch the bread like that after touching dishes & pos machine & god knows where... also I saw a waiter coughed in his sleeve & then continue cutting the bread like it's ok as long as his cough wasn't towards the bread... Overall I DO NOT recommend this restaurant, as their price does not match with their food quality & taste. Time to hire new chefs if this is your standard for $100+ meals.
We had a great time at Bonaparte & would definitely visit again! We came for the four course Montreal à Table menu, which was excellent. I tried the pumpkin soup, duck confit, beef cheeks, & chocolate cake. Each dish was well-presented & tasty. The only dish I probably wouldn't order again is the beef cheeks, which I thought was good but not great compared to the others. On the flip side, I'm still thinking about the duck confit 24 hours later. I also got the wine pairing for each course, which was a little ambitious seeing as they were full sized glasses. I was told that the normal menu comes with half-servings though. Our sommelier was knowledgeable & took the time to explain each glass. It made for a very enjoyable experience. Service was 4 stars. It took about 15 minutes for us to get seated & for someone to take our order, though I'll write that off as it being a busy Friday evening. After ordering though, each course & wine pairing came out at a smooth & enjoyable pace. Overall a great experience. I would highly recommend visiting if the menu suits your tastes.

Excellent restaurant, very good atmosphere, impeccable service, very knowledgeable & attentive waiters with a great smile! Not noisy at all. Nice white tablecloths, comfortable chairs.The tables are nicely spaced out. Very nice background music. Montreal should have more restaurants like that. The food is excellent. We were 4 people & ordered different choices & they were all great! The dishes decorated with a big taste & with so many details. Rare find. I would recommend it 100%.
This had to be one of the BEST dining experiences I have ever had. My husband & I did the tasting menu. We each ordered something different, so in total we both got to try 10 dishes. They were all amazing. I cannot say enough good things about the food, it was next level good! The restaurant itself is beautiful & the service was great as well. I highly recommend this restaurant & encourage everyone to try the tasting menu.
An amazing gem in heart of Old Montreal. The food was absolutely delicious. Service was exquisite. Ambiance fabulous. Very charming & old world, making you feel like you are in Europe, with a beautiful view of the city. Highly recommended.
Bonaparte was excellent. The food is excellent, the wait staff are tremendous & the restaurant is cute with an old school vibe. Highly recommend this restaurant!
Good experience, I expected more for the price. Filet mignon was cold. I don't recommend the onion soup, flavourless with burned taste. Ravioli were the best on the menu.

We had dinner at the Bonaparte restaurant & is was great. The maître D very cheerfully escorted us to our table. Our waitress Juliette(?) was excellent. I couldn't commend the wait staff more. They were all very attentive. The food was fabulous. I had the shrimp & scallop appetizer. My entree was the cod special & it was out of this world. My had lobster & loved it. I couldn't recommend this restaurant more,
Mes amies & moi sommes allées souper au restaurant Bonaparte pour mon anniversaire! Dès que nous sommes rentrées, l'ambiance & le décor chic de l'hôtel nous ont tout de suite fait bonne impression! Mathieu, notre serveur a fait preuve d'un service irréprochable & d'une gentillesse incroyable! Avant de commencer, des serviettes chaudes imbibées d'huile essentielles nous ont été fournies pour se désinfecter les mains. Ensuite, Mathieu nous a fait part de ses suggestions personnelles tout en nous expliquant les principales composantes de ses plats préférés! Comme c'était mon anniversaire, j'ai eu le droit à une bougie « étincelle » sur mon dessert :) (belle attention) Nous avons commandé les raviolis de champignons, le tartare de boeuf & l'émulsion de pétoncles & de crevettes comme entrées & tout était délicieux! Je recommande de choisir les raviolis si vous voulez une entrée à partager. J'enlève une étoile, car les plats principaux que nous avons choisi: jarret d'agneau & canard étaient un peu ordinaires. Comme desserts, nous avons commandé tarte aux pommes, gâteau au fromage & mon amie voulait une salade de fruits & bien qu'elle n'était pas sur le menu, Mathieu a su répondre à sa demande! Le coup de coeur a définitivement été la tarte aux pommes :) Bref! Je reviendrai définitivement pour essayer d'autres plats sur la carte & je retiens une expérience mémorable & luxueuse au restaurant Bonaparte, surtout grâce au service de Mathieu & à la qualité des plats! (
Phenomenal attention to service & truly 5 star experience. Wide variety of dishes with a unique twist. Highly recommend the duck breast with blueberries & maple syrup, as well as the rabit confit phyllo.

Un incontournable!! Malheureusement je n'ai pas pensé prendre en photo mes assiettes, mais rien n'aurait pu égaler les saveurs dégusté! Les serveurs sont super sympathique! Je recommande 👌
Very romantic spot with absolutely amazing food that is immaculately prepared & served. We loved it so much we went there the second time the next day to have a dessert. Highly recommend making a reservation.
Fantastic restaurant. The staff were kind & professional & spoke both French & English. The food was delicious. We heard from a friend that their duck is delicious, & can confirm. Would highly recommend the duck confit. The roasted duck breast was also good, but the confit was the hands-down winner. Their cocktails were great, as were the desserts. Must get the creme brulee.
If you want high quality & authentic French cuisine, Bonaparte is the place for you! Everything about Bonaparte is 5 star. The staff, the atmosphere & the food exceeded my expectations. We had the foie gras with creme brulee as an appetizer. I have never had foie gras with creme brulee & I was in for a very pleasant & delicious surprise! Our main entrees were the beef tartare & the truffle oil scallops. The cost is a bit pricey but definitely worth every single dollar. I would go back here & highly recommend Bonaparte to anyone who want delicious French food!
Our experience at Bonapart Restaurant on Valentine's Day was truly unforgettable. The chef curated a delightful menu that left our taste buds enchanted. The impeccable selection of wines complemented each dish perfectly. The staff, with their attentive & timely service, added an extra layer of charm to the evening. A special nod to the chef for crafting such culinary delights & to the waitstaff for their professionalism. The thoughtful gesture of presenting roses to all the ladies at the end of the dinner undoubtedly left a sweet lingering memory. Highly recommend Bonapart for a delightful dining experience.
Five star for sure from the drink list to the French dishes & for the very professional friendly staff I ordered rainbow trout , 🤤 creamy crispy outside & juicy,sweet meat inside. Highly recommend
Very nice dining experience for my family. The atmosphere & design of the restaurant were great. I really recommend the lobster salad & the roasted duck breast. The lobster was cooked to perfection paired with a delicious maple syrup dressing. The duck breast was cooked to a perfect doneness, was juicy, had a crispy skin, & was paired with a flavorful maple dressing. Our waitress Sheila was also very friendly, knowledgeable, & added to the experience.
It was a wonderful experience! No wonder it is the best restaurant in Montréal. I loved almost everything. Dress something nice, you will feel like a King/Queen. It took us about 1hr & 40mins to complete the tasting menu. First of all, the atmosphere was beautiful. The music, the walls, the tables, the menu, & the plating went very well together. The Christmas tree was beautifully decorated with dried cirtus. I had to take pictures up close. Servers were very professional & attentive. It was a busy night, but they all had a smile on their face & looked very happy working there. Clumsy me, I dropped the butter knife as soon as I got to my seat. I was so embarrassed, but the servers replaced it right away without us asking or getting their attention. Now, the food, we tried the tasting menu, & it was an awesome choice. My husband & I ordered different things & shared them. Salad & lobster bisque - both were great choices; Salmon was no doubt, Duck Foie Gras Crème Brûlée was not for my taste, but I was glad that I tried it; mushroom ravioli was so wonderful, rabbit confit was not my style but again, l loved that I tried it; pear sorbet cleansed my pallet well (but was too boozy for me); roasted duck was heavenly & was the highlight of my meal (got it medium) & lamb was also heavenly (medium as well); tea (gave me a whole pot, loved it) & coffee; cheese option was really great & Pastry was is the only plate I couldn't finish. We didn't take the wine pairing option. We ordered drinks separately. Overall we were very satisfied. Highly recommend to try.
