there are some things in life that befuddle me & that i must come to accept that i will just never be able to understand - how bernie beigne can make donuts so ridiculously incredible & perfect is one of those things. what might be even more astounding is how affordable these massive donuts are, when they are possibly one of the most flawless things i've ever had. i could have ten of these & not get sick of it. donuts seriously cannot get better than this.

the apple fritter is HUMUNGOUS & HEFTY. i could feel its freshness as i attempted to balance the behemoth in the palm of my hand: the hot dough fresh out of the fryer, still a bit moist & juicy from the oil. it was like i'd never tasted a real donut before - the inside was the softest & fluffiest pastry you could ever imagine (not unlike bread, with its not-too-sweet fragrance & the way it pulled apart) & a sugary, glazed, crunchy crust. however, the perfection of the apple fritter doesn't stop with the dough - it also tasted incredible. the donut is fragrant & not too sweet, & it is embedded with sizeable, slightly tart, soft chunks of boiled apple coated with a veryyy subtle cinnamon flavour.

their selection of regular donuts is impossible to choose from, but somehow i narrowed it down to their brownies one. i am not kidding when i say this is literally two bite brownies in donut form. it is an masterpiece of chocolatey sweetness: the crunchy, nostalgic chocolate sprinkles; the light, airy, buttery chocolate mousse; the super rich, thick, smooth, & sweet chocolate icing; & of course, the fudgy two-bite brownie perched on top of it all. it is an absolute weapon & chocolatey force to be reckoned with. of course, the donut was perfect as well: i've never had a softer & more pillowy treat, the way it bites off without resistance & melts in your mouth to give a pleasant sweetness.

Donuts have been solved, this is their peak form. Easily the best one I've had & I don't think you can go wrong with any of their flavours. So soft & fluffy I'm already planning my next visit. Shoutout to the staff as well person taking my order was super nice & patient

Their donuts are simply the best & the people who work there are top shelf.
We stopped in today to purchase one single donut & they didn't have the flavour we were hoping to purchase they gave us an extra doughnut for free as a kind gesture.
Who does that?

I hope the young man working at the cash does see this review & I also hope that thousands of people don't go in expecting free donuts from this poor guy! Very nice people & excellent donuts, each time we stop in the donuts are fresh & we're greeted with a kind smile.

I had Lemon Meringue donut & it was delicious. Messy, but delicious. My friend had a Simpson's donut & was very happy.
No bathrooms, but they very nicely provided me a wet napkin so I could clean my hands. Would definitely go back & try more flavours.

The classic glaze tasted pretty good but the matcha DIDNT TASTE LIKE MATCHA. It was just a green thing on top, didn't taste good

I'd try more of their flavours but definitely don't do matcha

I always thought Krispy Kreme was the best donut you could get in the city (honestly, everything else around here is painfully sub-par), but this place takes that soft, chewy donut to a whole other level. You can tell the ingredients are top tier. The donuts are huge, the flavours are all so delicious, & the people working here are the sweetest. Probably the best donut I've ever had… ever. Just an overall great experience, keep it up, guys!

Had a friend mention that Bernie Beigne was one of the best in the city & wanted to try it out for the first time. Though the maple bacon flavour may seem off putting at first, the combo is great. The donuts are fresh & fluffy, the glaze is sweet & the bacon added a nice crunch to the overall experience. Would definitely want to come back to try new flavours!
