C'est dommage je trouve que, pour ce qui devrait être le'pionnier' des bars à Verdun, le service y soit aussi instable.
Les derniers mois, mon chum & moi on passait surtout le samedi après-midi. Le bartender nous donnait le goût de repasser. Tu vois qu'il aime le monde. On est déçu de ne plus le voir.
Svp, si vous voulez gardez votre clientèle, soyez plus accueillant. Ça donne pas le goût quand on a l'impression de déranger. La vibe dans l'équipe a l'air tendu, j'ai peut-être tord, mais bref. Un petit bonjour en rentrant, se serait déjà un bon début.
(Shout out à Mélissa qui nous a redonné un brin d'espoir la semaine dernière. Vraiment, excellent service!)
I had mixed feelings about Benelux - Brasserie Artisanale. The mojito was delicious, but it was overshadowed by an excess of ice; I had to request its removal, leaving only a small amount of liquid. The service was acceptable. I'll give it another try to better evaluate the place because, to be honest, I couldn't quite grasp the vibe during my first visit.
Second visit - disappointed.
I love the terrace & had a good first impression, but unfortunately, this time the experience was spoiled by a very arrogant & rude waiter. I simply asked for a beer similar to Heineken, & the response I got was dismissive:'This is a microbrewery,' said in a condescending tone. Then, for no reason, she also added'No bike in here' in the same rude manner.
If you're expecting tips, treating people with basic respect is essential. Staff should understand that being kind & helpful is part of the job - regardless of how'hip' or'local' the place may be.
Limited food options but great place for a quick beer or two. Very causal vibe. They also have trivia & karaoke!!
First time trying Benelux & the place has a great vibe & a beautiful terrasse/garden in the back. The beer is reasonably priced, though the downside is they don't have pitchers. The bartender, Gabrielle, was very charming & courteous, though service was a little slow, understandably since the place was very busy. Will definitely be returning.
