Everything we had here, from the food to the drinks, was absolutely amazing, but what impressed us the most was Marie & her incredible hospitality!

We had accidentally gotten the time wrong & realized our train was coming soon, so we told her we would have to give up & leave. Marie immediately said,'I'll do my best to make it in two minutes! I don't want you to have to give up!' 🥹

We were really in a hurry, though, so we ended up leaving - only to miss our train anyway! When we came back to the restaurant, Marie even treated us additional coffee & said,'I'll keep track of the time for you so you don't miss the next one.'

& she actually did! When it was time to leave, she came over to us & said,'Girl, it's time!' 😂❤?

Seriously, this was some of the best service & hospitality we've ever experienced. Everyone we met in Montreal was so kind, but Marie truly represents the warmth & kindness of this city!

Thank you so much, Marie. You made our trip even more special. ❤?

Nous revenons du resto B &F du centre ville. Sur une facture hors taxe de 66$ environ avant taxes & 76.80 après taxes m'expliquer comment le pourboire c'est 10$ pour 10% & 20$ pour 15%? Est ce aue c'est fait pour flouer le client ?

Dommage car c'était très bon mais ce petit détail...

The service was fast, but unfortunately, the food was very disappointing. After our food was served, the staff barely came back to check on us.

I rarely write reviews, but this experience was disappointing enough that I felt I had to share it. I ordered the Avocado Lox, & the smoked salmon did not seem fresh. It had a lot of white & brown pieces throughout it, which was very unappetizing.

The guacamole was also extremely disappointing. It tasted like it had been sitting around for several days & tasted rancid. It's obvious that the guacamole was store-bought & had been opened for quite some time. The taste was noticeably different from what I've had at other restaurants & even at another Ben & Florentine location.

Overall, I was really disappointed with the quality & freshness of the food. I expected much better, especially considering my previous experiences at other locations.

I am very rarely someone that writes a negative review - I don't think I've ever written one. But this was probably one of the poorest dining experiences I've ever had.

I came with my 3 year old daughter . I asked to be seated in a booth so it's easier for me to help her eat. Immediately I got a scoff saying they'll have to clean a table.

I ordered a hot chocolate & coffee to drink. I got the hot chocolate, had to ask for the coffee 3 times. I ordered the food & it took over 40 minutes to come. I had to follow up , the waitress was avoiding eye contact, it's like she didn't want to be flagged down. The food came & it was horrible. Normally I love this chain. I ordered eggs Benedict & the eggs were completely solid. Like a hard boiled egg . The waitress never checked on me, I had to call out to her to let her know. I asked for napkins, again I had to ask 3 times to get them.

They offered to remake my food , but it took 40 minutes to arrive- I didn't have the luxury of time to wait that long for my next plate. Luckily they gave me 50% off my plate ; but I was seriously beyond disappointed regardless.

Ordered there & had to cancel it because 1 hour after ordering the food was still not ready to be picked up. The other 2 times I ordered there it was missing items. Don't recommend.

I've been to Ben&Florentine several times now, at their downtown restaurant in MTL, & I've been very impressed by the food they serve & the service. The waitress is very attentive & careful to never miss a coffee refill or anything else. Considering the amount of coffee people drink in the morning, you can refill your coffee an unhealthy number of times for free.

I also tried Cora Déjeuners, which is a similar type of breakfast restaurant nearby. Comparing the two, I would recommend Ben&Florentine. I find the food, portion sizes, & service to be a bit better at Ben&Florentine compared to Cora.
If I were to rate both, I would give Ben & Florentine 5 stars & Cora 4.5 stars.

Wanted to treat myself to breakfast. Great service, decent selection & the food was good. It was delicious & the server was great. One minor thing would be the cleanliness of the bathroom but beyond that, incredible.

Nous avons été 2 fois pendant notre séjour à Montréal prendre le petit déj ici & à chaque fois nous avons été ravis.
Les assiettes sont très copieuses nous en prenions 3 pour 4.
Je conseille l'effiloche de jambon qui est excellent.
Il y a du bon café & du jus d'orange pressé ce qui est un plus.
Le service était très sympathique le seul bémol est qu'il y a beaucoup de monde & que du coup on attend parfois un peu avant la prise de commande & d'être servi mais nous étions en vacances donc pas un gros problème.

Good in both languages! Portions were large, & with a regional flair. I enjoyed the maple syrup skillet. It was loaded, & more than enough for my large appetite!
