Very traditional Lebanese. They explain every dish. Our bartender Joya was very nice. Made us Arak Rose. Also good variety of Lebanese wine. Very good. Highly recommend.
The most authentic lebanese cuisine. The food was amazing. The bread is made fresh to order & paired perfectly with the mutabal & hummus. We will definitely be returning!
So tasty & authentic Lebanese restaurant. Fresh high quality ingredients. Generous amount of meat. Definitely I will come back again. Wish you best of luck.
Small place, Way overpriced ... I guess it reflects rent in Griffintown ... Not authentically classic Lebanese place ... No formulas, more like tapas style... small portions (don't be surprised) ... but the hot pita bread keeps coming 😋
The most authentic Lebanese food with the best service. Andrew was amazing & very proud to make us taste & explain the story behind the true foundation of food in his country. Even the owners greeted us with great hospitality. The food was 10 out of 10
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
We had an amazing catering experience for our company event. Muhannad went above & beyond to make sure everything was perfect, even taking care of beautiful decorations so everyone could enjoy the best experience.
The food was absolutely outstanding authentic Lebanese cuisine at its finest. Fresh, flavorful, & perfectly prepared.
5-star service & top-quality food. Bayrut is easily my #1 Lebanese restaurant in Quebec. Highly recommend!
Lebanese traditional food but in a different way so its special & delicious
The food was really bad & extremely overpriced. There's a plethora of Lebanese restaurants in Montreal with far superior food. I'm baffled by the high reviews.
A'must visit' Lebanese family run restaurant. A fantastic welcome, servicw & food. Went there Wednesday in February.
This family run restaurant is an unexpected gem on William St. It is authentic & charming. The food is of high quality, fresh & expertly prepared. The atmosphere is warm & the staff knowledgeable & interested in the clientele. They take a personal interest in ensuring customers have enjoyed every aspect of their meal which is impressive, even in a city where food service seems to be the norm. If we are ever back in Montreal we will be repeat customers! This restaurant absolutely deserves to succeed.
Wow! An amazing experience. The food was absolutely delicious & the service was top notch. The server & his assistant were always asking if all was good or if we needed anything. True Lebanese cuisine. Can't wait to go back!
I would like to preface this by saying that I frequent Lebanese/Syrian restaurants & this is not really a good representation of our arabic culture. I hope to provide as much constructive criticism as possible.
1. The restaurant provided us a table right next to the entrance to the kitchen & right behind the servers. This made it feel that we had no room for privacy at all since the servers were at maximum 2 feet away & everyone was coming & going near us. To resolve this issue, I don't think that table should be there.
2. As we sit & settle, the first thing the server tells us is the'policy' they have which is that we have a maximum one hour (or 1.5 hrs I don't remember) to eat our food. This is non-traditional & actually considered very disrespectful. In no way this is a lebanese tradition or'beirut'-like.
3. Since the servers were right next to us, almost every sip of water we had led to the servers refilling it. In less than an hour, our water was filled 18 times (we counted) which kept getting us interrupted.
4. The servers were great but they seemed tense. I persume it's management that needs them to be like this but it did not feel natural & they seemed almost stressed. I would urge management to be more considerate of their servers & to loosen up a bit on them.
5. The food was fine. We had wara2 3enab, fattoush, kebbeh, & shesh barak. They all tasted good but nothing to justify the insane price they had. The portions are also insane considering arabic food is meant to be shared. I noticed for what we ordered they came in odd number portions & not even... almost felt intentional.
6. While I appreciate the shots on the house that they provided, the timing of when they brought the shots was awkward. It seems often that the servers interrupt our conversation or our eating. This is NOT a server issue, I believe management trained them like this so they seem'caring'.
7. Music. What kind of lebanese restsurant doesn't play lebanese music. We have beautiful music & culture that would go hand in hand with the food we offer. I was very disappointed by that.
Overall I think management is trying to hard to be something that theyre not. I am confused as to what type of people are they trying to attract? Definitely not authentic arabs. I would not personally recommend this place to anyone.
We spent 120$ for 2 people. We ordered fattoush to share, grape leafs (5 of them), kebbeh (3 of them) & sheesh barak (8 of them). This dinner should be 40~50 max for the portions they offered.
Do not go here for arabic food (we got influenced by this montreal tiktoker).
Bayrut on William Street is a must. We went as two couples after hearing about it on social media & decided to try the full tasting menu: what a delight! Every plate captured the true essence of authentic Lebanese cuisine: perfectly cooked lamb, a colorful & fresh variety of salads, creamy hummus, & an exquisitely assembled dessert. Simple, flavorful, & done right. Highly, highly recommended.
Very good, I'm originally Lebanese & I can say it taste authentically Lebanese. I recommend anyone to come & try the food.
One of the best experience we had in Montreal, trying this authentic Lebanese restaurant. The food was so delicious & the service was excellent. H8ghly recommended.
Delicious, upscale Lebanese food! The tasting menu is very worth while & practically impossible to finish given the portion sizes. They also have Lebanese wines which is rare to find in Canada.
It is a nice cozy authentic Lebanese resto! Servive was outstanding!
The appetizers were good except the batata harra ( spicy potato) which was very dry & tasted old & reheated. The cocktails were tasty but weak. The main dishes were delicious !!! I ordered freekeh & lamb!!! & it was exquisite!!!
Not lots of vegetarian main dishes!
Would I go back? Yes, to try other dishes before giving my final opinion!
BTW I am Lebanese so I know & understand the menu…
The literal best lebanese restaurant in Montreal. Must try. Best service & culture ever. Ask for the backstoy
