We went as two couples after hearing about it on social media & decided to try the full tasting menu: what a delight! Every plate captured the true essence of authentic Lebanese cuisine: perfectly cooked lamb, a colorful & fresh variety of salads, creamy hummus, & an exquisitely assembled dessert. Simple, flavorful, & done right. Highly, highly recommended.
If you're looking for real unapologetically authentic Lebanese food in Montreal, this place is it. Every single dish hits with the same quality, flavor & finesse you'd expect from top spots back home in Lebanon. Nothing misses.
The team is genuinely amazing warm, attentive, & they make you feel like you're eating at a family house. The drinks u'd think they seem only Creative but honestly addictive.
Highly recommend. this is one of those spots you visit once & immediately plan your next visit. & you want to to take all your friends & tell them this is how my grandma's food taste back home.
If you're looking for an extraordinary dining experience in Montreal, look no further than Bayrut Restaurant. From the moment you step inside, the warm & inviting atmosphere sets the stage for an unforgettable meal.
The highlight of our visit was the generosity of the owner, who went above & beyond to ensure we had a memorable experience. He treated us to an array of complimentary entrees, each more delightful than the last. It was like a delicious journey through the rich tapestry of Lebanese cuisine, showcasing vibrant flavors & authentic ingredients.
When our main dishes arrived, they did not disappoint. Each plate was beautifully presented & bursting with flavor. The care & passion that goes into the food were evident in every bite.
The service was impeccable throughout our visit, with attentive staff who made us feel like valued guests. If you're a fan of Lebanese cuisine or just looking to try something new, Bayrut is a must-visit. We left with full bellies & happy hearts, eager to return for another taste of their culinary delights!
I recently went to this new restaurant in the heart of Montreal with my girlfriends, & we were so impressed! The food was delicious & full of traditional flavors. As soon as we sat down, they brought us a beautiful spread of homemade fresh pitas with traditional butter, cheese, & olives such a nice touch to start the meal.
The tabbouleh was incredibly fresh, & the main course was amazing. I don't remember the exact name, but it was a lamb dish with rice, pistachios, almonds, & other nuts on top. It honestly tasted like something my grandma would make comforting, healthy, & full of love.
The service was also great, very friendly & attentive. Overall, a wonderful experience & definitely a place I'll be going back to!
Mediterranean love from Lebanon to Montreal. The service was flawless: attentive without being intrusive, & every member of the staff seemed genuinely proud of what they were offering. The food itself was outstanding-beautifully presented, perfectly seasoned, & crafted with the kind of care that elevates a meal into an experience. Every course felt thoughtful & balanced, with attention to both flavor & detail. It's rare to find a place where quality, atmosphere, & hospitality align so perfectly, but this restaurant truly delivers on every front. A five-star experience worth revisiting again & again.
Bayrut serves absolutely amazing Lebanese food! Every dish was fresh, flavorful, & beautifully presented. The staff were super friendly & welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. Highly recommend Bayrut to anyone craving authentic Lebanese cuisine ⭐?⭐?⭐?⭐?⭐?
Bayrut offers fantastic lebanese food in a cozy, inviting atmosphere. The dishes are flavorful & beautifully presented, with top-notch service & attention to detail. Clean, neat, & perfect for any occasion!
It pains me to write this review because I genuinely wanted to love this place, but unfortunately, it fell short. The food was decent, but nowhere near the standards set by other Lebanese restaurants on the island of Montreal. While the restaurant aims to stand out by offering a more'homemade' style of Lebanese cuisine, it doesn't quite capture the authentic flavors one would expect. That said, the dessert options helped improve the overall experience, & the service was excellent throughout.
Beautiful experience! The food tasted so authentic, like a comforting home-cooked meal made with love. Every dish was flavorful, fresh, & beautifully presented. The freshly baked bread was absolutely delicious - warm, soft, & the perfect start to the meal. The service was just as memorable, with a friendly & welcoming team that made us feel right at home. Everything came together to create a warm & inviting atmosphere. Highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for genuine Lebanese flavors.
This review is based on an independent visit, aiming for objectivity. While Bayrut Restaurant serves respectable Middle Eastern cuisine, there are other options in Montreal that offer **greater value & superior flavors** for the price.
The food at Bayrut is decent but not distinctive. The restaurant advertises fresh ingredients, yet only provides lemonade made from imported syrup. Bread servings were notably minimal, which was especially disappointing for dishes like hummus, labneh, brown butter, & kibbeh niyeh-frequently eaten with bread, but here, I resorted to using a fork. Rice portions were also sparse & failed to complement the otherwise tasty kibbeh arnabieh, which was the highlight of the meal. The three types of kibbeh niyeh (walnut, rose petals, pistachios) failed to impress, & the hummus was comparably ordinary.
Overall, Bayrut did not stand out from other Middle Eastern restaurants in Montreal. The experience lacked the transportive aromas, flavors, & hospitality you expect in a standout establishment. Service was satisfactory but showed signs of inexperience, with some staff evidently still undergoing training.
In short, Bayrut felt indistinguishable from several other unremarkable restaurants in Montreal; neither the ambiance, nor the food, nor the generosity made the visit memorable.
Amazing!! Stumbled upon it on a quick trip to Montreal. The restaurant has just opened & is destined to be one of the most popular in town. Great food, flavors & ambience. Make sure to leave room for the dessert - it's one of a kind.
If you're craving truly authentic Lebanese cuisine-the kind that tastes like it was made by someone's loving teta (grandma)-this is the spot.
From the moment you walk in, you're greeted like family. The warm, inviting atmosphere sets the perfect tone for a romantic date night or a lively dinner with friends.
Every dish is homemade & overflowing with love. The hummus is impossibly creamy, the tabbouleh is vibrant & fresh, & the kibbeh, my favorite! Don't miss the grape leaves, which are rolled with care & packed with flavor, or the sambousek lahme which is stuffed with seasoned ground beef.
What makes this place truly special is the soul in every bite. You can taste generations of tradition in the food. It's not flashy or overdone-just deeply comforting, heartwarming Lebanese food made with care.
Whether you're sipping rose water tea after your meal or sharing their delicious rice pouding & laughing with friends, you'll leave full, happy, & already planning your next visit.
A must-visit. A love letter to Lebanese home cooking 💛
